Odd fit...
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] As reviewed, tighter fit around the thigh which was perfect for me. However, the waist was at least an inch too big. Pants look and feel great, but sizing is just off...

I love these pants!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I don't know why OR is discontinuing these pants... they are the best convertible pants I've ever owned. I like how the zipper is higher above the knee unlike others I've had in the past where the zipper rubs on your knees creating discomfort. If you can still find some of these pants buy them! You won't be disappointed.

Good fit, alternative to Ferrosi
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've worn these on a couple of hikes now and also casually - for casual use, they're great and comfortable and lightweight, and for the most they can be dressed-up! For hiking, I think I still prefer my Ferrosi pants but these also do well and do feel a bit lighter weight. I'm not sure if they're as breathable yet, time will tell. Size-wise, like many OR pants/shorts, it's slightly bigger than a 32 from other brands. I still wouldn't size down though, I'm fine with using a belt with them. Overall, great purchase!

Great all-around use pants!
Love them and wear them almost every day - they are supremely comfortable and very functional with great zipper pockets and regular pockets. Material is great for being outside or just wearing around the house. Would highly recommend!

How about making some longer inseams?
Is it possible to make your pants with an inseam larger than 32"? I'm 6'3', and the 32" inseam just doesn't work for me. Thanks

Love the product
Two things. The volume of the upper thigh area is a bit tight. My thighs just barely fit and it means the pants bunch up occasionally. Second, the drawstring is too short.

Comfortable
These pants are lightweight, comfortable and well made. Since they are black they look a bit more formal than khakis.

The best convertible pants I have ever owned
I love these pants. The design of the zip-off legs is different than all the others I have seen. When you are wearing them as shorts, they don't feel like convertible pants that end in a zippered hem. When you take off your boots, the legs zip open AND the fabric is stretchy! I love the pocket on the thigh, it is zippered and holds a cell phone handily. The pockets on the pants are large enough to hold a map as you hike down the trail. I love it. Down sides? Yes a couple. The zippers on the legs could be color coded or have something that lets you know which leg goes to which zipper. The drawstring in the pants (I tend to lose weight hiking) was really short and hard to tie. That's all. Buy these convertibles if you want something better. I plan on buying another. I wore these pants backpacking in the Wind River Range for 8 days in August.
