Outdoor Research Echo Jacket - Women's - 2006 BCS

Wow...this jacket is great! The pomagrante color is amazing and the inside fleece is butter soft. There is a light square pattern that makes the outside appear "waffeled". It sounds a little wierd but it really gives this jacket beautiful pseudo-texture and there is a cute little flower embroidery on the left sleeve.

OR knows how to make pockets too! The outside pockets are super warm and the material used to form the pockets is sewn into the bottem hem making it into insided pockets. Double-Bonus!

The baklava styled hood is for those really chilly days. I've found that it fits well under beanies, helmets, and shell hoods. I agree that it looks a little silly on its own.

I'm 5'6", wear a 34B, and a Small fits like a dream. I can fit a tank and a light weight base layer undernieth.

All-in-all, superb jacket for the price.

this jacket is comfortable and very warm. i find myself a little overheated when i wear a hardshell over it. the cut is also very flattering. the thumbholes are great too for not getting your shirt sleeves stuck half way down the sleeves of an outer coat. the zippered pockets are very convenient as well.

This jacket fits perfect in the XS for me - I'm a petite female who wants technical features in a jacket that is actually attractive and flattering. I've tried a lot of jackets, and I think this is a great compromise for a variety of weather and activities. The fit is very slimming while allowing some layering underneath. The Pomegranite color is gorgeous. Best of all, cat hair doesn't stick to the outside - but you still get the cuddly soft lining. ;) I honestly didn't want take it off once it arrived!

This is a great jacket. Very flattering. The cut couldn't be any better. I have been wearing it alone as an outer jacket during the day and at night I throw another fleece over it that's not windproof for some extra insulation.

Seems too cool looking to actually use in the wilderness but I will give it a try sometime. :)

Don't expect to wear the hood around the city - works but looks a little silly because it wraps around your face like you're a diver. But that keeps you warm for when you need it.

Love the brown color and the thumb holes.

I described the jacket I wanted. Windproof and warm - temperature of around 40 degrees. I was still cold in this jacket also the sleeves were long. Also the hood was always exposed (did not fold away into the collar.
