Cirque II Softshell Pant

If 'vertical' is a word that appears in your everyday vocabulary, then the Outdoor Research Women's Cirque Softshell Pants want to catch some altitude with you. Made for days in the mountains when waterproof hard-shell pants would be too stuffy but regular hiking pants wouldn't provide enough protection, the Cirque pants are crafted with a water-resistant, double-weave stretch fabric that shields you from mist and doesn't mind the occasional spring skiing day. The trim fit lies comfortably under a harness during summer alpine missions, and a durable scuff guard adds a layer of defense against crampon points and ski edges. Multiple pockets accommodate your essentials while you move up in the world.

Seem great, why do only the men's version come in tall?

Why do you only release a tall inseam of the cirque II pants in mens? What about the tall women?

great touring pants!

love these pants, on my 3rd pair. Only complaint is the newer version is cut a lot more snug than my last 2 pairs in the exact same size (broke the leg zipper of my last pair and sadly had to get a replacement)

Great for winter hiking

Using this mostly for winter hiking. Warm without being too bulky. Good wind resistance.

Sizing is very off

I originally ordered the smalls and they were too snug. Then I got the mediums and they were way too big around the waist even with the built in belt pullled all the way. There is too much of a discrepancy between the smalls and mediums to get a pair that fits, I plan on returning both

Great Pants

These are great from some winter hikes. Just throw some fleece-y long underwear underneath and bam. Great fit and movement.

Perfect for uphill!

Great pants for ski touring. Light weight for the up, and wind breaking for the down. Run true to size. Very happy with my purchase.

Stayed dry in wet snow

These pants are comfortable to wear and do well at repelling water. Have worn those snow shoeing and hiking and am please with the performance. I am between a XS and a S and ended up buying the XS. I can wear a thin tight underneath and can still find ease of movement.

Good investment!

I needed a new pair of pants for winter pursuits and snagged these during the winter sale. So glad I did! They are stretchy and allow for your movements. I have broad hips and thighs and these pants fit well, true to size, and the extra waist adjustment is helpful. They are comfortable and keep me dry.

Very problematic

It's a low waist and so the waist measurement is really a hip measurement. Note that I am 5'1" with short torso, so if they hit me well below belly button I can only imagine where it is for normal sized adults. Sizing up for the waist might make them too big thru the rest which fit well. I might have risked exchanging for a medium but the fabric is really thin, the inside is a super thin nylon whatever bonded to the elastic fabric of the pant. They are no way a cold weather pant without wearing heavy leggings. So what's the point of breathability? Great for warm weather, but I don't need them for that, and the medium would make them too big. They're going back. The description should say they sit barely above hip. Who wants that anyway in a pant designed for super active sports?

Love the blue cirque pant!

This is my third pair of cirque pants. They're great for uphill, touring and warm downhill skiing. I wear long underwear or fleece under them and am toasty all day. They are stretchy too. Love that they come in a short now! I got the royal blue and Love the color! I'm 5'3" 138 lbs and usually get a medium or 10 in OR.
