Counting the days until I can wear it!

  • Gender:Female
  • Familiarity:I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

Just picked this up on sale, and am very glad I did. Fit is fantastic, it's super-lightweight, and just the right length. Can't wait for it to get cold!

Hello I am moving back East and trying to decide on a Parka. I am pretty short, about 5 feet tall and I want something that is more "slim" or snug fitting. Would you recommend this coat? Is it long enough for cold Boston weather? Is it short enough for a 5 ft tall person to walk briskly in? I appreciate any help or recommendations. The other coat I was looking at was the Isis Whisper Down Coat because it has a hood; however, it says that the Aria does as well (even though it is not visible).

Hey Amy, Yes, this parka is great. It is not "snug" because it allows you to layer if needed - and in Boston you will need to! It has a double zipper, so you can open up the bottom to get a bigger stride if needed. It DOES have a hood, which is detatchable! Even better. You will love this. Have fun!

does this jacket have a hood?

Oh yes indeed. This parka does have a hood. Not only that, the hood is removeable so if you didn't want to use it, you can just take it off.

Does the Women's Aria Down Parka have a hood? I know it isn't pictured, but was wondering if its detachable or something.

my favorite down coat ever

I own quite a bit of down (as I live in Minnesota) and this has become my favorite coat of all. It's not too heavy, but provides seat coverage, which I love. The color is great (both the outside and the lining), and it's really well constructed. I will probably wear my more heavy duty longer down coat when the temps. dip below zero, but for now, it's the ideal coat.

    is this water repellant?

    is this water repellant?

The Aria Down Parka utilizes a very lightweight (20D face fabric) and down insulation, making it ideal for cold dry weather. Regretfully it is not water repellent and is best kept out of slush and the rain.

Compliments Every Time I Put It On!

I have received so many compliments on this jacket. I own it in Peacock and wear it out after skiing almost every night. Warm and comfy, but not too heavy. It is the perfect in town jacket! Photos on the way.
