Only good things to say
Used these gloves while on exercise in the high arctic for 3 weeks recently and I can say these things keep your hands warm and dry. I was never uncomfortable even while sledding at -55 C. They fit true to size.

Split seam
This is my second set of OR ski gloves, my kids stole my first set and these Men's Arete II GORE-TEX Gloves were my replacements. Unfortunately midway into my first day of using them the seam on the left hand thumb split open. Filed a warranty claim with OR and am currently waiting on a response from them.

The Perfect Gloves
After many years of searching for the perfect pair of gloves, I've finally found them. The Arete II's have served me well for winter in the PNW; from skiing in the rain, to harsh and blizzards in the alpine, these gloves have a handle on all conditions that mountain weather brings. The wool liner is warm and toasty, and the Gore-Tex shell is waterproof like nothing else. For the protection gloves provide, the dexterity is excellent. Buckles, ropes, ice axes, ski boot buckles, and even car keys are all manageable with the Arete IIs on. I'm stoked to take these on all future adventures. Whether skiing and touring in the winter, or climbing in the spring and summer, these are The Perfect Gloves.

Great ski glove
Used these at Jay Peak, Cannon Mountain, Burke, and other Northern VT, NH spots. The liner comes out very easily after skiing to hang dry, and the shell seems very durable. I was not in heavy wind or bitter cold but they were warm enough and would serve even in colder temperatures than I experienced, I'm guessing 10-15 fahrenheit (no wind chill). I also like that they're also relatively lightweight. Looking forward to many seasons with them.

Great all around glove
I use these for snowmachining and skiing in Alaska and they keep my hands warm and dry even in this last week with temps below zero. The wool liners are great and the cuff is just the right length. I'm impressed!

Tight, but Warm
Having the wrist straps and removable liners are really convenient. I wasn't sure how warm or flexible the glove would be, as it's a tight fit despite being an XL. I wore them at -20°F and had zero issues! Fantastic quality per usual with OR. I'd definitely recommend.

POTENTIAL TO BE THE BEST IF.....
This glove in a 2XL. With a cinch down strap (w/ plastic buckle) that goes ALL THE WAY around the wrist.....add some carabiner clip loops on the outside wrist seam.....you'd have the best glove ever. < Could you do Merino wool liners?>. There's prolly a reason companies don't I'm not aware of. You got the colors perfect. Touch nothing but add the things I said you'd have the best glove ever. Why doesn't OR make 2xl gloves? You guys are literally losing millions a year. Look at Gregory making Plus Size backpacks now. Once everyone realizes they do.... it'll be so successful. Carharrt makes a line of bigger sizes. They make tens of millions a year for it. Look at Columbia Sportswear ! They kill it. If OR expanded and included bigger sizes too.... you guys are missing out. You guys need 2xl gloves. And bigger sizes in your clothes.
