Great gloves.

  • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

Lightweight warm and dry. Did avy course in the rain with these on and hands warm and dry at end of the day. Very easy to put on over parka cuffs. Sizing a bit on the low side. I wear a 7 surgical glove and this glove in large is just right. ie order a size up from what you think. Now staring to wear through on edge od pointer finger beside thumb.

Not the glove I was hoping for

  • Gender: Male
  • Familiarity: I've used it several times

I purchased these gloves hoping that they would be warm *and* allow me to text when on the ski hill or around town.

Unfortunately these gloves didn't really help out with either. I found that my fingers were constantly cold (even when walking around town on 20 degree days) and the fingers were so large that texting reduced to a hopeless act of mashing sausages at the screen.

I did love the OR craftsmanship, as well as the soft nose-wipe and the removable dummy cord.

My guess is that the TouchTec leather isn't the best insulator and so I lost a lot of heat through the palm. Maybe they should reduce the leather to just the finger tips? I ended up returning these to Outdoor Research.
