Outdoor Research designed the Men's Allout Pant for fast pursuits in the alpine, whether you're climbing, skiing, or running. Its three-layer Ventia softshell fabric stretches for mobility and offers high levels of breathability for comfort. Fully taped seams ensure waterproofing if you run into any wet weather. The Allout's trim fit includes articulated knees so you can move freely, and side vents keep you cool when you start to sweat. The elastic waist has a drawcord for a secure fit, and ankle zippers offer easy on-and-off.

    Yeahhhhh SMALL!

    • Familiarity: I returned this product before using it
    • Fit: Runs small
    • Size Bought: small

As a typical size small in women's clothes, I usually find men's size small to be just right for outer layers. These pants run exceptionally small. I could barely get them on in a size small. If I were to re-order I'd probably jump straight to a size L. Other than that, these pants look pretty darn awesome. The stretch is fantastic and look like exactly what I want for bagging technical 14ers and single day mountaineering trips in the Cascades.

    Great biking, hiking pants

I keep these in my messenger bag on bike commutes incase it rains or snows. They pack up very small and are legit 3 layer AND stretch! Super comfy. Just wore them to go fat bike in a blizzard and they were perfect. The cuff is great for biking as its not baggy at all, although you can unzip it to get a little more room if neccesay. Its not enough to get over a snowboard boot at all, but thats not a big deal (plenty of other great options for that). They breath great too. I think these are the best packable waterproof pants I have ever used (and I have used way too many). NOTE - I had to return the large for an extra large. I am no usually a XL. 6'1" 195b 33"waist 32" seem. Ope that helps you decide on what size to get.

more of an athletic cut and true to size... seems great for hiking, running, etc. -- leg cuffs not a good fit over my AT boots (dynafit) is why I returned these pants. I need a good pair of "skinning" pants.

    Great Pants

I wore them in the Tetons on day three of the TCT. It rained for 4 hrs and had gusty winds. These pants were fantastic. They were comfortable and did not let any water in. They were also comfortable after the rained stopped as well. They run on the smaller side but I would definitely recommend.

Any chance I can get these over a snowboard boot. (burton SLX) I have a pair of cirque pants that use with axiom jacket for splitboarding. They are nice but I would like something lighter with vents.
