If you're looking for close-fitting, thin, general-purpose alpine gloves with sensitivity and dexterity, choose the Outdoor Research Airfoil Gloves. Outdoor Research made these gloves from Gore N2S Windstopper fabric, a lightweight version of Gore's much-heralded WindStopper laminated fleece. The smooth, stretch-woven face repels snags and stretches with your hand. The Airfoil features a pattern-grip palm and anatomical-curve construction for heightened dexterity and warmth in the cold, making this the perfect multi-use work and play glove — great for alpine travel over rocks and glaciers or just as well suited chopping wood to heat your cabin.

Bottom Line: For super-lightweight comfort and performance, choose the Airfoil Gloves.

Great ultra-lightweight glove

These gloves performed exactly as expected. They are perfect for outdoor aerobic activities such as walking, running, or cold weather hiking. Efficient wicking and laminate palm/finger construction create excellent dexterity and grip. Not the glove for hands with poor circulation or need of extreme warmth, but great for me.

great lightweight glove

I thought these would be a little heavier when I bought them, but they turned out to be surprisingly warm for how thin they are. They are great for winter aerobic activities, like snowshoeing or x-country skiing, and when it gets really cold, I just use them as liners and throw on a pair of Gore-Tex mitt shells over the top... works great even when the mercury drops into the teens. Alone they're really great for keeping those digits warm without sacrificing dexterity.

Outdoor Research Airfoil Glove

First off I'm no mountain climber, skier, etc. I've come to find the equipment suited to such is the best quality, light weight and lasts. I needed an in between glove for around town. These gloves have fit the bill perfectly. They run large, so if you’re in between sizes, pick the smaller. The glove offers great dexterity and moderate warmth. When the temp dips, I slip on Mazama mitts over them. I couldn't be happier. Thanks for a great product.
