No removable cord to prevent gloves getting lost
The main reason I'm not recommending these gloves is because the picture is misleading - there is no removable cord to prevent the gloves from getting lost. So you're not actually getting exactly what you think you are (well in my case anyway). The cord was one of the good selling points for me so it's a bit annoying that it's not a feature. If you don't mind getting a different glove than is advertised then the plus sides of the gloves are, they're easy to get on and off and I think the grippy palms will be very grippy. The zipper doesn't open up completely, it has a pleat but still makes it easier to get little hands in. We haven't tried them in the snow yet but they actually feel pretty thin to me so I will be surprised if his hands stay warm but I haven't tested yet - just feel thin to me. I think dexterity wise they would be good though. My son is 4 and a half and I got the size L which is a perfect fit for him with a little room to grow. I think he will probably need to wear inner gloves underneath. They are cute though, just wish they had the idiot strap. They do have a clip to clip them together when they're not being worn.

Can these mittens be attached so the toddler can't pull them off?
