Here's what others have to say...

comfy! stylish! not the most durable

  • Familiarity:I've put it through the wringer
  • Fit:True to size

Not that anyone ever claimed that linen shoes are going to last forever...

Pros: I've had these for about 9 months with regular wear in the spring/summer, and they're super comfy and lightweight. Not a lot of arch support, but the cork footbed is pretty cushy when you're on your feet for extended amounts of time. I got these in the natural off-white color, and they still look really good/not nasty-dirty after many days of wear! Lots of compliments on these as well

Cons: Pretty soon after picking these up, a piece of the rubber sole on the heel broke off, leaving the linen fabric exposed. It's getting ravaged by the ground, so it's probably a matter of time before the hole works its way through the fabric and liner... bummer. I've also had to patch up a hole where my big toe punched through the linen upper. This is probably an issue for people who have toenails. So keep yer toenails short if you want to keep your Otz hole-free.

Overall, I really like these - just feel like I'm going to have to buy a replacement soon! I wear a size 10 and picked these up in 41.0, and they fit perfectly.

  • Familiarity:I gave it as a gift but have feedback to share

I purchased this shoe as a gift. I've heard the shoe is comfortable for wide feet. The canvas shoe is washable. Just remove the cork footbed and let air dry after washing.

Good shoe

This shoe is comfortable and sturdy. I would recommend it to anyone. People ask about them all the time--that would be the only con.

Anybody know how much these weigh? I'm...

Anybody know how much these weigh? I'm thinking as backpacking camp shoes... Thanks!

Approximately 300 grams (~10.5 oz), hence the name of the shoe.

  • Fit:Runs small

I bought these for myself after I bought some for my brother for his birthday. I must say though I am a size 7 and went with the the 37. I am a pretty true seven so did not experience any of the sizing issues I read in other reviews about half sizes. If anything I would say they were a bit snug, which I think helped with me breaking them in, so perhaps they run a titch small. I think they are the most comfortable shoes I have ever worn. And stay cool in heat. People are always asking me about them.

I love these shoes, but the fit is off.

  • Familiarity:I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions
  • Fit:Runs small

I absolutely love these shoes and I was excited to find some on sale. I typically wear a 9 to 9.5 US and ended up going with the full size of 9.0. When I tried these on they fit perfectly on the upper linen which is why I was so bummed out when I went on a walk and found that the footbed inside was cut shorter than the outer last leaving a few millimeters for my toes to hang over the foot bed causing blisters on the bottom of my toes. In the end I passed these on to my mother who is a half size smaller and they seem to work well for her. Maybe not a great shoe for the half size foot.

I agree, I have these in a Size 40, though I normally where a 9.5/10 and 40 has enough room in the fabric to stretch and be comfortable, and the footbed is just right.

Wanting to love them!

Tried a pair of these on in a store and the sales lady came out with a size 39. I am a size 8 so I was expecting her to bring out a 38 in EUR sizing. She proceeded to tell me that these are designed to fit loose and they definitely were! After looking on the Otzshoes site and speaking with customer service they told me they were supposed to fit snug and mold to your feet. I ordered a 38 from bc and they fit well except the upper part is cutting into my foot a little. I am hoping that this is just part of the break in period as no store I've found offers the half sizes listed on the otzshoes website. I'll update after sufficient break in.

Just got a pair of these in dark blue linen, I'm totally in love. The cork and EVA footbed is super comfy and super supportive. And the linen is super cute. It's like Toms and Birkenstock had a baby! They are great to wear with or without socks. I wear a 36 in most popular brands that use Euro sizing and 36 fits great. I highly recommend these!

can they be machine washed if cork insole...

can they be machine washed if cork insole is removed?

We are frequently asked if our linen 300GMS can be washed. Yes they can, but first make sure to remove the footbed. They should be washed in cold water on a delicate cycle and air-dried. Don’t forget to then replace the footbed! (Note: it has been found that machine drying may shrink the shoe slightly.)
