A la carte Pack

  • Familiarity: I've used it several times

I bought this pack to downsize from a Camelbak Luxe. Pros: Carries everything I need for day MTB rides, lightweight and barely noticeable, practical design. Cons: Difficult to fill bladder, hose does not detach from bladder, difficult to clean bladder and no real easy way to allow it to dry.

Cleaning kit and quick connect valve kit available from for additional $34. Makes it a bit pricey when compared to Camelbak products which are easy to clean, dry and come with detachable hose.

Hey Joey, thank s for the review. The hose does detatch, but you are looking for a quick disconnect, then yes, we have that option. The reservoir does have a large opening that many find is helpful to clean, but point taken, it isnt a wide open mouth.

Remember, Osprey has an all might gualranty on our packs, something else that no other pack brand can say!

Happy New Year!

Osprey Rep

Excellent Product

Perfect size for what I was looking for. Excellent for day hikes and even music festivals. The bladder does not leak like other products and the magnet is a great perk. Would recommend for anyone.

Who needs water? I do!

  • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

With a 2 liter reservoir, you can venture out and enjoy nature on just about any activity that doesn't require you to venture through the Sahara. The pack forms nicely to your body, as you will forget your even carrying that life giving liquid when your sweating bullets on that summer summit hike. Great for trail running, mountain biking, or sitting around the house for the lazier of us. A great durable pack for the money. 5 stars

Made by a pack company...Wonderful!

I have two Osprey hydration packs, this one and a larger one. I absolutely love them both. They are designed so much better than the Camelbaks, as they should be since they come from a great pack company. After looking at several brands and after reading the reviews on each, I decided on the Osprey Raptor. That was my first one, then purchased this smaller one for shorter rides. I love the magnetic mouthpiece holder and the design of the bladder. The handle makes filling easy, and keeps it from sagging to the bottom. The pack has a place for bike tools, a handy helmet mount, and ample space for my rain jacket, energy bars, Gopro accessories, etc. Take a look at how the design of the Osprey and the build quality and I think you will come to the same conclusion.

    Great Pack!

This pack is a MTB bikers dream pack. Carries 2 liters of water, pump, clif bars, and a few spare parts. The front fastner has a magnetic holder for replacing the hydration hose which is awesome for when you need a quick drink on a steep uphill climb.

If you are thinking of using this for XC racing maybe go with another pack because this one is pretty heavy due to the heavy reservoir material; it can make for some sore upper back muscles after 14+ miles.
