Average bag

  • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

So first off I love the Osprey brand and like much of what they produce. I bought this bag because I do a lot of 1-3 day work trips. My first impressions of the bag on the fist trip are the following:
- Pretty small interior
- Good quality fabric
- Fits great into the overhead
- Not great for picking up when doing stairs because your hand gets smashed into the extended handle
- Ive had better quality wheels
-Don't like the fact that I have to undue 2 clips just to get the zipper open
- Like the looks of the bag a lot, definitely unique
- Love the little zipper pocket on top for going through security

Good piece of luggage from Osprey

  • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

I have the Sojourn 25" which is great. Purchased the Ozone 22" for something smaller and better for flying standby. It did great for a recent 5 day hiking trip. No issues with overhead storage. The compression straps really help with over-packing. The 2 additional zippered compartments on the top allow for even more storage. It really surprised me how much I was able to get in there and could not be happier with this purchase!

Waste of space

  • Familiarity: I returned this product before using it

I bought this carry-on for my up coming few days trip. I was so disappointed because the luggage has the frame of Osprey Sojourn, which is a pack pack/carry-on. The frame is caved in and is losing so much space. The bag is so light and doesn't really need these huge skate wheels. The frame and wheels of this luggage was used from other Osprey products.

Excellent Rolling Carry On

Recently used the Ozone 22 on a two week trip down the West Coast. Flew in and out, drove down the coast. The bag performed well, very light empty, packs efficiently, carried well, stood up on its own.
I have an older Osprey Vector that is bigger, more strongly built, and heavier, but definitely not better for the purpose of traveling light and quick.
My main concern is the longterm durability of the light weight seams and zippers. Also, the Vector has several smaller mesh pockets on the inside of the front flap, while the Ozone only has one big pocket. A little bit of thread could segment this pocket, aiding organization and preventing items from sinking to the bottom of the flap pocket.
Flying Delta and United I had no problem carrying it on. Flying Frontier I had to gate check it, which was annoying. The Ozone 22 is not large, Frontier is just weird.
