I like it!

  • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

I'm using this on my Aether 70 pack (that has no front/belt pockets). I was afraid the grab bag would be too big, but it's not. And I was afraid I would notice it, but I didn't. It did not impede my arm swing or anything. And its positioning is flexible enough so that I was able to place it almost directly over my hip belt. The materials are good & it appears well made. Only used it on one overnight so far, but it really fit in nicely. I recommend it.

Mainstay on all my packs

  • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

Been using this for a while now and I love it! I originally got it for MY Gregory Baltoro 75 since the pockets on the hip belt were only big enough to carry chapstick or a smaller compass. Now I have an Osprey Aether and I still use this even with the hipbelt pockets. It can hold a map to keep it within easy reach as well as other trail essentials. I use this on which ever pack I am taking out from daypacks to the large packs. Leave it to Osprey to make something that really adds functionality to your pack.

Great piece

  • Familiarity: I've used it several times

This is a fantastic add on to your existing pack. I purchased one for my son and liked it so much I ordered one for myself. It's great for those hard to reach necessities that u want along the way. I also is mine as a sling pack for weekend trips to carry extra stuff that want fit into pockets. It's easy to adjust and clip on your pack. Definitely recommend!

would this hold a passport, wallet glasses?

Responded on

Yes, this will hold all 3. Here is the Osprey youtube video that can give you a visual of its size: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=78KXxebuwS0

Responded on

Yes the dimensions of this bag are 9.5 x 7 x 4 in so it can certainly hold those items.

Responded on

It will easily hold that. I keep a Nat Geo map, headlight, some snacks and other small trail essentials in it with ease.

Very nice

  • Familiarity: I've used it several times

I got this for my Aether 85 pack per no pockets on the pack. The great thing about this add on is it works way better than any hip strap pocket. Easy access to my phone, trail bar, etc. sometimes I get a little sweaty on my chest wear it crosses but it's no big deal.

Very Convenient

Works well with the Argon pack and is very convenient if there are items you want to keep close and easily accessible (cell phone, small camera, compass, etc.). The adjustable strap allows it to be tightened so it does not swing or move when hiking. Another reviewer included a video which should explicitly show how to attach the Grab Bag to your pack. While my pack is an Osprey, I cannot see how it would not work with any other packs.

Sal

Great bag with very useful, versatile, mounting attachments. I also bought the Osprey Talon pack and so far it doesn't damage my more delicate Mtn Biking clothes, unlike another famous brand I've used for years which shreds my shirts and shorts.

I am not totally sure how to attach this to my osprey pack. Anyone have any suggestions?

Had the same question. Osprey answers in their video! http://www.ospreypacks.com/en/web/grabbag_addons_attachment_1
