Above and beyond the rest!

  • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
  • Fit: True to size

I skied 50 days last season, most of those in the PNW and this jacket kept me dry, kept me warm, and I love it. Orage is hands down the best in the industry with attention to detail. Pockets in all the right places that you actually use and everything you need in a jacket for a day on the mountain in, or out of the resort. 2 thumbs up from me. Awesome jacket!

Love this jacket EDIT march1st/13

  • Gender: Male
  • Familiarity: I've used it several times

I love this jacket, NOTE IT RUNS SMALL!! i have an XL and i think i'd have to be very thin/not tall to get anything smaller.
Love the hand gaiters on it, they have a hole for your watch so you can look at the time without removing gloves or digging out your phone. Very waterproof, great Shell, easy to layer under.

Only cons: Runs small, and not as long as i would like it personally.

EDIT: Ok so i got into my first major Pow day with a lot of wet snowfall (Not rain) i was soaked within 30-40min. I couldn't believe it I must have gotten a lemon, The water did not even bead off at the start, just soaked straight through.

Orage J.P. Auclair Jacket - Men's

  • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

5'11, 160 lbs, Medium Size
Fits, but a tad snug in the shoulders, if I was layering more under I would probably go large, but Medium works well for me.
Goretex Softshell both feels nice and is 100% waterproof and very breathable. Only complaint would be that the jacket is a tad heavy.

Bomb Proof

  • Gender: Male
  • Familiarity: I've used it several times

This JACKET ROCKS, i love the style the feel and the bomb proof, no snow no rain NOTHING can get it and it a pretty damn warm shell. I ride the BC in Alaska and its just the jacket to have. i like a bit more gangster look so being 6'5 the XL is perfect performance fit so if you like a little more "swag" then go XXL if you real tall like me but i stuck with XL for performance. 5 out of 5 for this jacket. Bummer JP Auclair is with Armada now for Gear, i hope Orage makes more jackets like this.

2012-2013 JP - Finally right!

  • Gender: Male
  • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

OK, so I finally got about 20 days on my new Orage JP in Colorado and the Tetons and it pretty much rocks. Yeah, this is a shell, but it's really warm. I usually rock a light fleece or longsleeve underneath. The breathability is pretty good. I mean, if you are full on skinning uphill for an hour+ then I would not suggest it. However, I did tour a couple COLD days in the Tetons and it did great. The best functioning is if you're doing some sidecountry hikes that are short, then it's perfect. The best part about it is that it's bomber. I've hit many trees already and no tears. Extremely waterproof. Pretty slim fit as well (thank you finally Orage). I'm 5'11" and 167lbs and the medium fits perfect. The best part is the length. No more POW up the inside of your jacket. No more jacket bunching under your AVY pack waistbelt. The length makes this jacket great for the BC and warmer as well. The one downfall is the zipper can stick up high once in a while. Love the pocket designs and the strechy Gore-tex fabric.

Amazing Shell - I was skiing yesterday at minus 20 Celcius, Unbelievably warm against wind, snow and cold weather ! The picture does not do Justice to this Jacket - Believe me it's so well made, All the pockets are in the right place for easy & Fast access while shredding.
