When you ski a first descent in the Chugach Range, you need the hardcore weather protection of the Orage Men's Alaskan Jacket. Its Prime OT Hardshell Stretch fabric offers 20K-rated waterproof protection and breathability to match. The powder skirt keeps that bottomless fresh from pervading your layers, and fully sealed seams seal out even the smallest leaks. Articulated arms let you access your ski pack or throw spins off cornices with a natural range of motion. Tons of pockets let you bring along anything you might need after the helicopter drop.

Bottom Line: Alaska, here you come.

Well Cole, the bottom line is if you think the two look cool together, run with it and let fashion sense be damned. - James-------------------------------------colors that come from that family like olive and beige and brown and stuff all look good together -Cyrus-------------------------------------Cyrus would know Cole, check out his profile pic. Blue, brown, orange, yellow and white. Now thats awesome. Thanks Cyrus =D -- James-------------------------i cant tell if thats sarcasm or not, o well...james is right, if you like it then go for it and who cares...didnt you learn that in the 2nd grade? :-)...heck my outfit might look redic. but i like it! -Cyrus---------------------------I know my answer comes on a bit strong, but there is no sarcasm. I once wore a set of blue surgical scrubs while climbing Devils Tower. In the outdoors, it's all about having fun. -- James-----------------------------word!!!!...agreed, and thank you. now im lovin this open forum thing but i think we have finnaly asnwered Cole's question...and dont flag this disscusion people, because there's a lesson to be learned here! -Cyrus

Amazing Jacket

By:
February 17, 2009

This is by far the best jacket I've owned. It is plenty warm for skiing in CO, but breathable enough for warmer days. The magnetic collar keeps the neck closed. The addition of the hand gators is very nice. I'd recommend it to anyone!

Thanks James. I did find a store and tried a L Alaskan and a different XL Orage jacket on for comparison. L was a bit too snug in the chest if I was going to wear anything underneath or stash goggles inside (length was good). I think XL would be perfect. Now, if only I could find the blue Alaskan in XL...

You'll have to pull it off my cold dead body

This jacket has more features than most mercedes. It comes with a windshielding baklava that zips out of the jacket and fits perfect. There's a case for your sunglasses in one of the internal pockets. Has a hole for audio, and one for a camelbak bladder. Great cell phone pocket. Everything I could ever possibly want in a jacket. If it wasn't for the fact that the white gets dirty kinda easy It would never come off.

No insulation. (It does have insulation, not super thick, pretty low profile, but enough in the body and arms to keep you warm at freezing temps. Does help to have some layers underneath though.)
