Great wax

  • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

Get the temp right and it fly's. Graphite takes longer to use up like Justin says. Won't use another wax now that I've had this.

This is definitely fast

  • Familiarity: I've used it several times

I was very impressed with this. Rode it in fresh snow on a cool day - and it was the perfect comp for the conditions. I dunno if the graphite bar is what did it or just the wax formulation for the conditions, but everything felt smooth as butter. I let one of my friends give my ride a go - and he insisted on doing a fresh job on his board when we got back to the house.

BTW - the graphite bar will barely wear out - so you can probably get 1 2 part system for every probably 5 or more bars of wax (Ive waxed about 5 times and the main bar is down to like 20% while I dont even know if I have used 5% of the graphite).

Anyway I would definitely recommend this - just make sure you get the right temp and it should rip.

OBJ changed up X-Wax recently

  • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

OBJ website shows the latest, BC is still showing older model.

Its now a two part system. A smaller black graphite block, that you rub on first. Then a larger block for the temp specific wax, that you hot wax on.
Tried the new setup this past weekend, running the cool temp wax but on a warm day (40F at base at 12:30p). Was very fast, just like I expected X-Wax to be from the past several years of using it.

That said, I prefer the older single step X-Wax. And I think the rub on graphite bar is too big in relation to the hot wax temp specific block. I can easily see finishing off the hot wax piece long before using up the graphite bar.

SO FAST!

  • Familiarity: I've used it several times

I used some of the warm wax of this brand in the summer at Mt. Hood and had to pick up some Cool wax for the winter in Utah. This stuff is fast! Definitely happy with it! Next pow day I will be all smiles!

I've been using the OBJ X-Wax for a few seasons now and it keeps my collection of Libs quicker than Ricky Bobby.

Good Stuff

This stuff is fast. I was previously using Swix F4 all temp and I like the X-Wax a lot better.

eh... it's decent.

I use the "warm-temp" wax for spring conditions in the NW. it's not bad for the price but compared to some of the other brands it's not as good... i'm not an expert in the chemical(s) in wax composition my only form of testing is purely from how fast the board comes down a hill...

Slushy Snow

Just used the Warm temp Xwax at A Basin and it held up great all day and kept me going fast in that corn-snow-slush.

Highly Recomended

This is my favorite obj wax. I use either the cold or the cool depending if its early or late in the season. This wax is more expensive than the 4wd but it preformes better if you can match your snow temperature. I just talked to a guy at a local board shop he let me know the approx. temperatures on most days.

Easy to apply and stays on well.
