The description states it has a padded SHOULDER STRAP, not that the bag is padded, read the description before making drastic statements.
It will fit boots and much more. This bag has great compartments with plenty of room. The only problem you run into... if your worried about weight for the airlines the bag can get heavy.

It is not padded despite what is claimed in the tech specs. I have already made this mistake and they were suppose to fix this listing.
