Stand up, sit down, shout it out loud.
Stoked to get into stand-up paddleboarding, but not sure about committing to long-distance trips before you've got things totally dialed? Don't sweat it. The Nalu 12.5 Stand-Up Paddleboard has a textured foot area and in-mold fins to keep you feeling solid while you're dialing in your paddling, and a removable Comfort Tech seat (sold separate) that you can strap on to the deck to turn the Nalu into a kayak, making getting home a snap. With a long and hyrdodynamic design, the Nalu's made to move quickly and cover ground (or water, more accurately), while carrying all your gear in a Quick Seal bow hatch and stern storage bungee system so you don't find yourself stranded on a deserted island without any of your essential, life-saving beer or potato chips.

Ocean Kayak Nalu Stand-Up Paddleboard
- Familiarity: I've used it several times
Perfect for a parent +1 - baby in tow! The Nalu provides plenty of room for a child to roam about. Combined with the Ocean Kayak Comfort Seat, it is very nice to have a kayak paddling option.
I'm glad we went with the bigger version.
Mother and son on a SUP
1st time my son was passenger on my SUP with a kayak seat back, he was an awesome passenger!

First trip to CA North Coast
Great Paddle Board!
- Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions
I took for first excursion to CA north coast, super stable board so I did not spend too much time in cold water! I have used traditional boards (rented) and just amazed at the stability of this nalu! Storage hatch very useful, plus the bungees to hold paddle or whatever. I attempted to carry my husband back to shore after diving and it did not flip, just too much weight to get adequate paddling leverage(too far into water). I loved paddle boarding before, but love it even more now!
What type of roof rack would you use to transport this? At some point I will probably be transporting this with another kayak or sup, what rack or racks would you recommend with thule aeroblade crossbars? Thank you.
Hi Dave, Below is a link to all of the Thule kayak carriers that we currently have available. I would personally go with the Hullavator. - http://www.backcountry.com/Store/catalog/search.jsp?s=u&q=thule+kayak - If you have any other questions, please feel free to reach out to me directly. - Matthew Pizza - Expert Gearhead
