Lace up the versatile Oboz Women's Sidewinder Hiking Shoes to hike your favorite trail. Oboz gave the Sidewinders leather and mesh uppers for comfort and breathability during your all-day jaunts. Next-generation EVA midsoles cushion your feet and give you rebound. External heel counters and Oboz' Radial Fit System (an engineered integration of the uppers and bottoms) provide stability and support on scree-covered slopes and help prevent turned ankles. Grippy outsoles on the Sidewinders have self-cleaning directional lugs that help with traction on the uphill and braking when going down.

Bottom Line: The Oboz Sidewinder Hiking Shoes like forest and mountain trails just as much as you do.

with virtually no breaking in these shoes were like slippers--but with all necessary sturdiness--on an all day hike in terrain ranging from meadow to scree. didn't get them wet so can't comment on that issue. i am impressed and hope they remain as durable as they are comfortable.

not for forest or alpine

good fit and a stout shoe but no way is it even the least bit water resistant. Dew from wet grass soaks this shoe to full on slosh. in fact I think it wicks into the shoe . This might make a better canyoneering shoe intended to get soggy then dry quickly, or desert shoe.

Great shoes

I bought these shoes instead of the Keen and I am sure glad I did. These shoes are so comfortable. I hike in the mountains over rough terrain. I purchased the purple and was surprised how good they look.

Super trail shoes!

By:

Comfortable right out of the box! I have wider feet and the fit was good. I replaced the insole with Superfeet to prep for backpacking and give more support. Just the right amount of support, flex,& sturdy sole in lighter shoe. Have done 3 weeks of trail walking and backpacked one weekend with no problems. After spraying two times cannot get them waterproofed - too much mesh. But cooler for feet and shoud dry quickly. Called manufacturer and it does have built in shank for underfoot protection. A great bargain for this sale price. Lisa in Maryland

Some of the best.....

By:

I've owned many pairs of hiking shoes and boots and have been satisfied in the past only by Keen and Asolo brands. While I still love those I just loved the way these shoes looked and thought I might try out a new pair for the new year. I was pleasantly surprised to find out how much I loved these! They size was right on target with my other top brands (women's 6). Bottom line: these look great, feel great, and give me stability.
