I don't get the sizing (yes I looked at the chart). What does "L" mean? Is that a large in girls size? What height and weight would that be for?

Large size for Jr Girls is 14-16. Hope That helps. The Vest fits below the waist.

My tween daughter wanted a coat that was stylish and I wanted to find her a coat that would keep her warm in the Interior Alaska winters. This was the jacket we came up with. It is very well made, fits accurately (maybe even a little large), and does great against the cold. I definitely recommend it.
