The Obermeyer Girls' Kassandra Down Sweater may be nice and light, but it's no lightweight on on the slopes. The tight weave on the NanoTwill shell prevents water droplets from soaking through and wind from penetrating, yet it allows perspiration moisture to escape. The Hydroblock DWR treatment also helps keep her dry when the flakes start to fall. And of course, nothing keeps your girl warm like lightweight, fluffy down, and nothing will warm her heart like the bold, fun colors on this winter wardrobe must-have.

I believe it is 650 (90% sure about that). It is definitely water resistant. The rain beads run off like water on a ducks back.
