My 6 year old and 8 year old used these goggles for 40 days of skiing at Whistler this year, with no complaints. No reported issues of fogging and they were comfortable - one with a Giro helmet and the other with a Smith helmet. The 8 year old had a pair last year as well.

Hard to say without knowing the size of his head, but I'd bet that these will be too small for him. You're probably better off with a pair of adult goggles in size small so he can use them for a few years. If you have a shop near you, you can always go in and have him try on a few different sizes and brands to make sure he gets one that is comfortable for him.

My daughter is 7, 42 pounds...we're considering these goggles but they do not fit her current helmut (smashes her nostrils together). Is there a recommended helmut to accomodate these goggles???

Nothing is said about whether these goggles protect against UVA & UVB. That would seem to be a good thing to do for little kids sensitive eyes. Maybe it is standard?

Yes, the Lexan lenses block out UVA and UVB.

I originally purchased them for my 11 year old and they were too small for him. They are a great fit for his 8 year old brother.

With a small face or if she doesnt want to look to weird with big googles, the down side is that it comes only in persimmon so if you want to get any other kind of lens you are stuck.

"Everything looks so happy!" exclaimed my son when he first tried these on --and the amber lenses do lend a cheerful hue to otherwise overcast snowy days. He had never worn goggles before and was not enthused about the idea of more equipment, however these goggles are so comfortable and fog-free that he literally forgot he had them on, and was especially grateful to have them when he went skiing during moderately heavy snowfall.

My son loved getting these goggles for Christmas. They work great. The fit is perfect for his face. He likes that the do not fog up like others have. They also provide protection from the glare and reflection of the sun while providing clear vision when the sun goes down.
