The Oakley Wind Jacket Sunglasses were designed to satisfy the speed-craving motorcyclists out there who needed distortion-free, high-definition sunglasses that were light, had a good fit, and were also technical. Since then, the sporty Three-Point Fit has been adopted by cyclists, runners, and anyone else who is active and doesn't want to worry about their sunglasses staying secure when they're going fast.
- Includes extra Oakley HDO (High Definition Optics) lenses to accommodate low-light and bright days
- Lenses are treated with Oakley's anti-fog coating on the backside of the lens, reducing moisture build up
- Plutonite lens material is highly shatter-resistant, blocks 100% of UVA, UVB, UVC, and sinister blue light up to 400mm

I loved the glasses when I first got them and I wasn't even aware of the adjustable elastic strap that snaps on the glasses. Now I really have a great fit no matter how fast the wind hits my face. Great product.

I'm an Air Force E.O.D. (Explosive Ordinance Disposal) Technician, would these seal and fit tightly around my eyes without the strap keeping the sand out while deployed overseas?

Would these work as a substitute for glacier glasses on Mt. Rainier
Would these work as a substitute for glacier glasses on Mt. Rainier and other larger peaks?

Not really. There are two important components to glacier glasses. The side coverage, which these Wind Jackets would do and the dark lenses that cut most light from passing through, which these glasses will not do. You need something with a category 3 or 4 lens. Check Julbo Explorer out.
