Description

Gimme the works.

You can't ski like Seth Morrison, but if you could, you'd probably tackle huge terrain via helicopter in super-gnarly weather. That's exactly what the Oakley Unification Jacket is made for, so you can be sure it can handle your home mountain. A guaranteed waterproof breathable Gore-Tex PRO Shell laughs at nasty weather and lets your body breathe to regulate its temperature naturally. This full-featured shell also packs a removable, zippered storm skirt, a wire-brimmed hood, strategic venting, waterproof zippers, and the RECCO system for increased avalanche safety.
  • Guaranteed waterproof, extremely breathable Gore-Tex Pro membrane
  • GORE Micro-Grid Backer improves abrasion and snag resistance, reduces garment weight, and makes it easy to slide the shell over base and mid layers
  • Fully taped seams cover typical waterproofing weak spots
  • Laser cut waterproof zippers for added protection
  • 2-way front zipper for adjustable fit
  • Wired, helmet-compatible brim is customizable
  • Zippered storm skirt seals out deep snow
  • Underarm vents allow you to dump heat quickly
  • Drawcord hem and wrist gaiters seal out drafts
  • RECCO system for added avalanche safety
  • Regular fit makes it easy to layer under jacket

This jacket and and the snow pants are super water and wind proof! They look pretty good to! But these are not durable at all, just from regular skiing the pants have a bunch rips and tears, and the jacket does to. In the picture there is a pencil through the biggest hole which is about the size of a quarter in the pocket of the jacket and above that is a scrape where the material is gone. Since it is just one layer a rip somewhere else could be terrible. The pants cuff is just getting ripped up also. For $1000 total i would like something that doesn't shred faster than a plastic bag

3 layer Gore-Tex Pro Shell and part of the Pro Rider Series (PRS). Very light, fixed hood, it?s a shell so you need to layer, which is what the line is designed around. Mountaineering inspired, chest pocket can go all the way from front to inside as well as into a pocket midway. Nice arm articulation. Regular fit.

Seth, got last years jacket and it's phenomenal. But... what are the velcro straps inside the hood for?
Thanks!

Oakley Thought people may like to connect their goggle straps to the inside of the hood to help hood in place during storm days. Tried it once, bit of a process to get it all set up.

Hi Seth, can u tell me if the sizing for the unification shell is the same as last years sethmo? My sethmo is a tad on the small size, so wondering whether to size up. Fantastic jacket though- so light! Thanks

What type of base layers do you (or anyone) recommend for the jacket? (just bought it)

Tandenes: I use the Oakley base layers. Thin base layer shirt which isn't on this site, then the Unification Power Dry Jacket made of Polartec, which is a mid weight fleece. If its cold the same base layer shirt with a Unification One jacket which comes in Down or a Polyfill.
