Trina Pant - Women's

Part of X Games champ Grete Eliassen’s Pro Rider outerwear series, the Oakley Women’s Trina Pant sheds snow and wind with near-ridiculous waterproofing. Thinsulate fleece backing in the most critical spots helps to fight off the chillies, while gaiters and silicone waist grippers keep snow from slipping in. An angled side pocket keeps your pass and snack handy, and you can cinch your cuffs up to spare them from the parking lot asphalt.

Bottom Line: Pro-level pantaloons.

Why I designed this pant.

Last year Oakley gave me the chance to design my own outerwear. Right away I was like, "Suspenders!" There is nothing more fun then having suspenders hanging out. I use to be a ski racer so I always had suspenders on my pants while growing up. The next step was designing a pant that was comfortable and functional.

I like a pant that has a loose look to it and looks relaxed. Sometimes ski pants can be wayyy too tight and no matter how hard you try you can never look cool as a skier. Therefore, I designed pants that are meant for you to look cool no matter what you ski.

I used these pants all year in Retllack B.C., Snowbird/Alta/Brighton UT, Aspen CO, Jackson Hole WY, Mt. Hood OR, Las Lenas Argentina, basically everywhere. They always kept me warm and I always had swagga.

Enjoy!

Runs big

I really liked the look of these pants, but they were way too big. When they say "loose fit" they really mean it. I'm 5'5", about 148 lbs, so I usually wear a size M to fit my beefy thighs, but a small probably would have fit just fine.

What is the sizing like on theses? I'm struggling to find pants long enough without needing to go too wide...Slim build, 5'10 and it's all in the legs. Finding pants in a friggen nightmare!

love it...for the most part

Other than the fact that the leather pull tab on one of the zippers came off the first day and the buttons don't match up on my oakley jacket from 2 seasons ago, I love these pants. Although Grete says these were designed to let the suspenders fly, I use them. But they aren't necessary because of the velcro fastening system to tighten up the waist. As a snowboarder I really, really, really appreciate the fleece insulation in the butt. The vents are awesome...worn them from 35 degrees to probably -10 windchill. Not too hot or too cold ever. One last negative. The price. But I think its worth it.
