Not willing to float the bill for uber-pricey prescription goggles? Pick up the Oakley Proven Over the Glass Goggles and strap them on right over your prescription glasses. Oakley designed the Proven to fit a wide range of face sizes and shapes and provide all day comfort thanks to two-layer, moisture-wicking fleece foam. The dual-vented lens and Oakley’s F2 anti-fog coating eliminate moisture build-up inside your goggles.

Bottom Line: Got glasses? Get these goggles.

Small Fit, Poor Design

By:

I was pretty disappointed with these goggles and will be sending them back. Even though they are OTG goggles they fit very tightly over my glasses. Aside from the small glasses opening the frames are very big--so big they look and feel awkward.

As far as I can tell this is the only Oakley OTG. Smith makes some OTG frames as well, and I find that they look a bit better than these.

terrible design obviously NEVER tested

1. The OTG notches on the sides of the goggles are built-in to let the glass frames through have very thick foam padding. Sure, the notches let in your glasses, but the foam does NOT. This pushes your ear pieces into your head and becomes excruciatingly painful after just two hours.

2. Frames are extended outward to allow room for the frames of the glasses. Unfortunately this design has two MAJOR flaws. Regular sized glasses that are NOT "slim and trim" like Raybans or Oakleys will NOT fit properly and will be pushed into your nose. Very painful. Also, the outward extended frame has very thin foam covering the vents, very thin foam. As a result, ANY headwind going faster than 10 mph will flow easily into the goggles, searing your eyes with cold air. Your eyes will tear up faster than when you spilled your first milk in preschool. I had a major problem with my tears freezing up inside the lenses, and after just an hour of this BS there was too much ice inside the goggles, and I had to stop boarding for an hour just to get the gunk out and let the lenses dry out.

3. There is absolutely no peripheral, up, or down vision with these goggles since they extend outwards. It's same the difference between looking out a window standing next to it and then looking out standing 3 feet away.

4. Do not ever buy these goggles. If you do, it will be PAINFULLY obvious that Oakley did absolutely no research or testing when designing this atrocious product. Be warned consumers. I love Oakley goggles, but these are a sad, sad failure.

They appear very wide and deep. They shouldn't push the glasses into your face. The design is such that the only contact is on the side of your face where the foam forms to the frame of the glasses. Oakley is good at making performance eyewear, these should be no exception.

Too small

By:

Same problem as the other reviewer - though the lens is huge, the opening in the foam is small and barely fits over glasses, then when you take off the goggles the glasses come with them. Not useful s an OTG goggle.

The foam padding is designed to mold around your glasses. So you just put on your glasses, then put on the goggles. No slits needed.

nice goggles, BUT just a tad too small, the oakley OTG goggles hit my regular glasses, had to return 'em. and when taking them off, off came my regular glasses as well... not cool.
