Simon Dumont pulled some killer style and a grip of features out of his bag o' tricks to help build the Oakley Preferred Jacket. This tech-heavy jacket has your back whether you're rocking the pipe Dumont-style or playing in the backcountry.

  • Waterproof breathable fabric protects you from the elements, so you stay dry without swamping out
  • Fully taped seams prevent moisture from slipping in through the stitching
  • Underarm vents get rid of excess warmth to keep you from overheating
  • Removable powder skirt won't let snow fly up your backside and detaches when you want to ditch the bulk
  • Wrist gaiters with thumbholes and adjustable cuffs seal out the white stuff if you go down in the deeps
  • Magnetic hood system keeps your hood where you need it
  • Articulated arm construction won't bunch or catch when you move

Bottom Line: Innovation, Dumont style.

As anyone used this jacket with a beacon? im curious if the magnets on the jacket would interfere with the beacon

Haven't used it, but the likelihood of interference is minimal. I don't think there would be an issue. You'd run into more trouble with transmitting devices like a GPS.

Oakley never disappoints. I have had this jacket for several months of hard use, no wear. The magnetic clips are amazing, waterproof and surprisingly warm. I wore only this jacket and a capilene and was comfortable at 20 degrees. only downsides are the waist band gets snow clumps from sitting as a snowboarder and the wrist gaiters are simply cut stretchy fabric, no seams and seem like they will tear.

Deff use the x-l I'm 6'2 and although my chest may not be as big, the large was very roomy on myself. I just returned my own for a medium, this is the first time wearing a medium in a long time.

I live in wisconsin where it's always windy and cold and I wear a sweatshirt underneath and I'm good till a wind chill about 5 below with this jacket, it's a lot warmer then I anticipated plus it doesn't get wet, the only minor down fall is the cuffs get a little wet after a warmish day of intensive riding but you only notice it when your gloves are off, it's a great jacket though and another FYI its a lose jacket I wear XL sweatshirts and tees but this jacket I wear a medium and it fits perfect.

Looks great. Has a nice loose fit. The magnetic hold down system is pretty cool however it adds a good amount of weight to the jacket. Haven't gotten to test it on the mountain yet, but I'm over all super impressed with the look and feel.
