The Real Deal?

First 5 starts to Back Country for remedying this order.

No starts for the product received. I have no problem with outsourcing everyone seems to be doing it. And China can produce some decent products when they adhere strictly to guide lines given to them by a vendor. But lack of regulations and Oakley’s nonexistent over sight has led to this.

Cheap Injected molded plastic frames vs C-5 metal. The Plaintiff glasses are described to come with Oakley's patented blend of 5 metals that composes the frame.

What was inside the nicely branded Oakley box with a semi decent microfiber carrying case were Plaintiff style frames. However made from what I could only describe as low quality plastic. The $5 glasses you buy on holiday in-case you lose them are of a higher class.

I have no doubt these may be a good glasses for those that get the metal frames. However until Oakley steps up quality control more of these cheap knock offs from their own supplier are going to flood the market and people unfamiliar with the original quality of Oakley frames will never know what they could have been.

    Made in China?!

    • Familiarity:I returned this product before using it
    • Fit:True to size

I have several pairs of Oakley glasses and I always like the fact that they are made in USA. I ordered a pair of the Oakley Plaintiff Squared glasses and was shocked to see they were made in China. I called Oakley and sure enough they are now making some of their glasses, including all the Plaintiff Squared glasses, in China. The glasses seem to be good quality but I am going to send these back, no way I am paying Oakley prices if they are made in China.

    Sweet shades

All the cop look with a modern style. Light and comfortable with fantastic lenses. Definitely like the squared off look as opposed to the traditional teardrop aviators. I got the lead/black iridium combo. The black color accents on the earstems look good without being too obnoxious.
