Monster Dog Polished Black Sunglasses - Polarized

The Oakley Monster Dog Polished Black Sunglasses couple lightweight, head-hugging O Matter frames with polarized optics to give you a fierce barrier against glare from water, pavement, and snow. Distortion-free XYZ optics taper slightly at the edges to give you a clear view from every angle. Oakley's polarizing process bonds at the molecular level to give you a haze-free vision of your surroundings—other polarizing processes often result in cloudy optics.

Bottom Line: The Oakley Polarized Monster Dog's—your own personal junk-yard guard dog from solar glare.

Monster Dog Deep Blue

By:
May 6, 2011

I've owned this pair for one month. I usually do not buy glasses over the internet without first trying them on at some store. This case "I TOOK A GAMBLE", because I liked how they looked! When I finally got them, I was not disappointed. I'm of average build, 5' 11", 190lbs and they look great on me!
I have two complaints.... I did think the $170.00 was a bit high, but was hopful that the level of polarization/filtering and eye comfort would make up for it. For me that is disappointment number two. Doesn't quite match up to my $65.00 pair of Bolle's I bought 8 years ago for skiing and motorcycle riding. They have the same eye comfort as any Polarized Ray-Ban's I own. "I THINK" these should fall somewhere in the $90.00 - $110.00 price range. Over all I give 6 outa 10, but may adjust during ski season.

Best Lenses I've had

By:

This is my fourth pair of Oakleys. I had Iradium lenses in the past, but this is first try with Polarized. I like the way things look even when I am in shadows when passing under trees when x country skiing. Planning on using them on the lake this summer. The frames seem really solid. On past sunglasses the rubber parts would wear out, and these do not have any rubber parts on them.

Unfortunately, the Monster Dog sunglasses are not interchangeable. If you're looking for interchangeable sunglasses that are similar to the Monster Dog, check out the Oakley Split Jacket - Polarized (serach OAK2807)

I Agree !!!!!

By:

I was starting to think mine were defective ! I totally agree ,, I have the blue lenses. My husband has the black lenses and you cannot see the eyes with those ones. I don't understand why Oakley would produce such lousy lenses .

Just because people can see your eyes doesn't mean the lenses are lousy...It means the tint isn't dark enough. If you wanted a darker lens tint then you should have ordered custom through Oakley's website which has a wide selection of lens colors and tints vs Backcountry.com
