See Different Lights, Albeit Awkwardly
- Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
- Fit: True to size
Was able to score an M-Frame frameset with a broken lens so I decided to hop on a couple of these replacement frames. The vision is the usual better than most Oakley quality while the nose piece is good at hugging the shnoz without cutting off the air. The array of tints is endless (a good thing) and the shape is a good medium between wind protection while remaining low profile.
The lens is a bit strange to put on the frame itself. I'm a bit afraid of breaking the tip corner off of the lens each time I try, but that is the only complaint.
Works as expected.
Happy with my replacement lense. Was an direct fit Oakley replacement shipped timely and arrived in great condition.

What is the darkest shade of the Oakley M frame lenses?
The Black Iridium are the darkest at a 9% VLT (visual light transmission) comapred to the Clear which are the the lightest at 93% VLT.
Actually, it's 10% (of the light that comes through the lenses), and rated at a index of '3' by Oakley...for very sunny conditions. This is one of the lenses I have, they're really dark, but does not impede or distort vision/details. Look at Oakley.com; go to "optical superiority, and choose "lens tints", and there you can see all the available lenses and all the tech. for each. You can even view a simulated outdoor environment (many to choose from), and see an example of how each lens will look for whichever setting you've chosen! Really cool!
Do the lenses come with a nose piece?
Do the lenses come with a nose piece?
Yes, they do.
And, you can buy replacements if/when necessary; same goes for the ear 'sleeves'.
What does "iridium" mean?
What does "iridium" mean?
"Iridium" is a Metal...and it is in the "plutonite" lenses
Iridium lenses have a reflective coating on one side to reduce glare.
Can I use these in my Oakley M frame...
Can I use these in my Oakley M frame sweeps?
Absolutely. M-Frame is the frame design. All M-Frame lenses are interchangeable. Sweep and Strike are lense shapes. You'll notice that the Strikes don't have the pointy, swept-back edges of the Sweep lens.
Oakley M Frame Strike Replacement Lenses
that´s the best sunglasses I think. Use this in Afghan, and have no problem with them.

I need to get replacement lenses for the M Frame. Balistic Proof, Polarized, Black Iridium (Heater). Can you please tell me if your item # OAK0232, the Oakley Strike M Frame lens replacement is what I need?
Well I wasn't sure about this because of the rather pricey cost but bought 2 different lenses and turned out to be fine. Had a little difficulty getting the new lenses in the frame but with instructions and a little luck went in fine.
They are working great!

I dropped my Oakley metal case with my M frames in them and broke the frame. Lens are good but ear piece broke. Do you have frames that I can buy for the M frame lens.
I don't believe Oakley sells 'frames' only, as I have tried to purchase an additional frame for my extra set of lenses (because it's just too much of a pain to change for my type A personality, I guess!) Not sure if you can get any other replacement pieces. Just go to www.oakley.com, and see.
These lenses keep cracking near where they click into the frame. Sent three of them back to Oakley but they would not replace then unless I paid them 30$ per lens (same as I buy them from you).
As a result I think I am through with Oakley.
I used these lenses for mountain biking and they work well in low light. Needed them since the ones that came with the sunglasses were too dark and unfortunately hit a tree stump that I didn't see and consequently flew of my bike.
I have used Oakley shades in riding for years, but have made do with cheap clear glasses for winter/night riding. After the cheap ones brokeI decided to try genuine Oakley clear replacement lens in my M-Frame. There is frugal and there is stupid! I have been stupid to have not been using the Oakleys all along. Best money I've spent in recent memory!
