Leave your puffy jacket at home when the sun comes out at the resort. Instead, be there wearing the Oakley Karn Lite Jacket when the ropes to the back bowls drop. Send the powder flying into an incredibly blue sky while this waterproof breathable shell jacket keeps the snow and moisture out with its critically taped seams and powder skirt.

  • Hook-and-loop front zipper storm flap prevents melted snow from getting through
  • Underarm vents let in cool air while you hike up the ridge for extra fresh turns
  • Fixed hood features a magnetic anchoring system to keep it in place on the windy summit chair
  • Adjustable cuffs seal out the snow as you lay out your turns and drag a hand
  • Powder skirt features snaps to attach to compatible pants (sold separately)

Hey i was wondering.. is the neon fire color exactly as it looks on the picture? and what is the difference between the oakley karn light jacket and the oakley karn jacket?

Responded on

Not sure on the color question, but the difference between the Karn and the Karn Lite is that the Karn has 100g of thinsulate in spots where you might expect the most heat loss whereas the Karn Lite is just the shell. Should be identical in all other respects.

I got to check out the Karn at a local Oakley Vault store and either seem like they would be a pretty nice jacket for the price. Unfortunately they didn't have any in my size so I'm now waiting on delivery.

Just to add to the description, there is also a micro-fleece goggle pocket on the left side accessible from the outside, under the storm flap, Napoleon style, w/ cable pass through to the inside of the jacket.
