Karing Pant - Women's

OK … we understand it’s hard to get the fit you want with snowpants, but Oakley designed the Women’s Karing Pant just for your bod. Oakley’s new regular fit allows for a more overall flattering shape, so you don’t look as if you can fit two people in your snowpant.

  • Taped critical seams and 10K-rated fabric help protect you from the wet when you crash or get in a heated snowball fight
  • Unzip the inner thigh vents to dump excess heat on the hike
  • Regular fit flatters your bod and shows that you’re a girl and not a dude
  • Boot gaiters block out snow
  • Plenty of pockets to stash your cash or vices
  • Pairs well with the women’s Karing Jacket

Bottom Line: Performance snowpants made for one.

Orange Hot Pants!

By: Backcountry.com Sponsored Athlete
August 19, 2010

These are my other favorite pants of the season. I wore these pants more then any other pant. The fit on these pants is amazing and the orange is really bright. So if you are looking to stick out on the mountain, these are the pants for you. I will post a few photos so you can see what they look like on.

This photo does not really do the color of the pant justice. This pant is HOT ORANGE! Just like a highlighter. Look at other photos I have posted.

Hell yeah, neon orange.

First off, I absolutely love these pants. They're EXTREMELY bright and fun, great for pictures, filming and pow days. But a warning to those low-key individuals who aren't looking to stand out: the orange color isn't going to work for you. I've gotten comments in the lift line from strangers, heckles from the lift, etc... Mostly funny comments from random strangers though.

Okay, aside from the color, these are great pants. They're minimalist without lacking any key features. The zippers on the leg vents pull easily and the vents themselves are long and functional. They're long enough to cover any boots, ski or snowboard, and the tapered fit looks nice without making them into a skinny pant. The gaiters stay down and keep the snow out, the pockets hold everything I need and the rear leg pockets are great for stashing gloves. The lining of the pants is an awesome, soft fleece that makes for warm riding without the weight of other pants I've had. They're great layered for colder temperatures and the waterproofing really holds up well in super wet snow.

The only drawback on the fit is the waist; I have above-average sized thighs (I'm a skier), so I bought the large. The legs fit and the length is great, but that WAIST is HUGE!!! I have wrinkles in the waist band where I've scrunched it up to keep the pants on my hips. if you're a seamstress or know one it won't be a problem, but to everyone else, beware of the waist -- it's not a huge deal because I love the pants so much, but it could be a problem for someone who's very small. However, the Oakley powder snap system makes the waist tolerable and I love having the snow stay out. My jacket and pant snap together easily without being confining or too tight.

Overall, this is a great buy. I love the color, the fit, the features and the simplicity. I bought them on sale in October and have recommended them to everyone I know.

Oakley Karing Pant

I'm 5'4" about 118. Went with Medium. The waist was HUGE, belt required, good for tucking lots of layers in I guess! Love these pants otherwise :)

Oakley Snowboard Pants

The fit is big in the waist for any size which makes it hard for the pants to stay up.

Poor Fit

By:
November 29, 2010

I have a pair of Oakley pants from last year in a medium and they are huge on me so I figured a small would work. The thighs and butt were ridiculously tight and the waist was huge. Maybe I'm just too curvy for this style??

great quality, just too big

By:

Just received my pants in the mail. The fabric and quality are fantastic. The only problem is that they are HUGE! I went by the sizing chart, but apparently need to go a size smaller than the chart. Otherwise, they seem fantastic!

I uploaded a photo of me wearing the pants in an XL. I am 5'10 so very tall and they are still baggy. They style I like though. But I would recommend anyone who is going to be doing a lot of hiking to wear a medium. And if you are shorten than 5'10 wear a small.

Got these pants in ocean (blue) and I absolutely love the color. They seem to be well made and warm. However, they are super long, very big in the waist, and skinny in the thigh.
