Description

Zing!

Oakley designed the Jury Sunglasses with aluminum inserts for lighter weight and a stiffer feel. 'That sounds uncomfortable,' you say. We object. Oakley gave the Jury special spring hinges for a perfect snug-without-the-squeeze fit.

  • O-Matter frame is stress-resistant and ultra-lightweight
  • XYZ Optics ensure distortion-free vision for the entire width of the lens
  • Plutonite lens exceeds ANSI 787.1 for impact-resistance and blocks 100% of UVA, UVB, and UVC light
  • Unobtainium hydrophillic nose and temple pads eliminate slipping
  • Patented three-point fit maintains optical alignment

Great Shades

I love the make of these things and they stay on your head no matter what you're doing. The extra weight in the frame is nice once you get used to it.

Oakley Jury sunglasses are great

I have a pair of O~Luminum Jury's with Ice Iridium lenses and an X-Metal type finish on the frames. These glasses are super comfortable and durable. They have titanium inserts on the insindes of the arms that give additional strength and flex for the right fit. Do yourself a favor and pick up a pair before they discontinue them. You won't regret it.

Awesome Sport/Style Hybrid

I snagged these on a whim from SAC and was a little nervous because I wasn't sure I'd like the fit of these and had not had a chance to try them on. First, let me say that I ordered the distressed grey/warm grey lens combo and when I opened the box I thought for sure that they were the wrong glasses because the distressed grey definitely has a bronze hue to it when not in direct sunlight. However, I love the color now that I've had a chance to digest it.

As for the glasses- they are 100% awesome. The aluminum frame is rugged and feels very secure on your face. The frame is large enough that it provides all around protection without being too large on your face. The hybrid sport features blend perfectly with the style features of these glasses, which makes for a great combo when you are like me; hopping from fly fishing, snowboarding, hiking- whatever you do outside to dinner out, business meeting, etc., without having to swap out your sunglasses to fit the scene. They truly are the perfect blend of sport and style.

I will admit, these glasses are HEAVY. For me, these replaced a trusty, but aging pair of Oakley Bottlecaps and the difference in weight is substantial. However, so it the durability. I will be curious to see how the frame holds up over time, as the hinges are make of rubber/plastic, but if they are like every other pair of Oakley Sunglasses I've owned (uh, I mean, lost), I have little doubt that I will be left satisfied.

For the price, you cannot go wrong. Grab a pair and see for yourself. I am quite confident that you will not be disappointed!

solid

great glasses, solid in everyway.. not a lightweight option, but super coverage and I love the dark bronze lenses, especially for sunsets

battleship optics

Pulling an about-face on all the lightweight wire and acetate lifestyle frames out there, the unique aesthetic of the Jury's frame (clever hinges notwithstanding) still comes as a bit of a surprise. It's an extremely bold, chunky, and very post-industrial feeling piece that feels as though it were hewn from the barrel of a vintage machine gun. The raw metal is even cold to the touch. Due to the weight and styling, it's by no means a finesse piece, probably instead better suited for heavier-duty pursuits like facepunching grizzly bears.

Tough!

One again a new metal release. Nice fit and styling. Like the rubber (unobtanium) on templets and nose areas, makes them more sporty staying on your face better kind of performance. Best part is I mashed these skiing in my pocket. Bent them back, snapped on the temple arms and good as new. amazing!
