Didn't like these at all. TOO BIG.

  • Familiarity:I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions
  • Fit:Runs large

I have an average size head (7 1/2) and these are just way too big, they look ridiculous. Kind of like Elton John circa 1974 ridiculous. I see this as a growing trend in sunglasses especially with Oakley. Beyond that the tint was too light for my taste.

Changed my opinion on Oakley

Not an Oakley fan. Styling and marketing always seemed a little obnoxious to me. I bought these at an airport becuase I was on the road and forgot my shades. Usually wear Smith, but I gotta say I'm digging these Hijinx. Great lenses, highly scratch resistant, Sturdy hinges and look cool too. I do not take care of my shades and these are showing litle to no signs of wear after 6 months.

    A solid sunglass

The Oakley Hijinx Sunglasses felt a little weird at first as the arms rest towards the back of my head. Once I got used to this sensation these were great. I usually wear Smith and feel that Smith's lenses are more scratch resistant but I really like the Oakley Hijinx. They offer great coverage and I would say these will fit larger face sizes better.

It seems most glasses are to big for my liking, i.e. the Anon's Indee and Von Zipper Clutch glasses. However, the Anarchy Bedlam glasses fit perfect. So, which do you think these Oaks resemble the closest sizewise. Also, I've noticed the size listed in the right column is contravertial a times with what other people have commented on. Thanks for your help.

is buying a polarized lens woth the extra cash? what do you get for it?

You get a polarized lens. Polarized lenses work by not letting light through that is oscillating in a horizontal direction, which is all very complicated but means that it eliminates reflective glare. If you're walking on snow a lot (glaciers) or around water (fishing, surfing, kayaking), then they're fantastic. For everyday life, doesn't make any difference.
