Here's what others have to say...

*Path-type case vs *Jacket-type case:

*Path-type case vs *Jacket-type case:

Pretty cool-looking, too!
Weighs almost nothing, so if you have the room in your pack, the grams are negligible (you probably can get the exact specs/grams from Oakley; suffice it to say: they're 'light as a feather'!

Path vs Jacket

Path vs Jacket

The larger case is for the *Radar Path's; the smaller is for my *Split Jacket (both have extra lenses, and the cases have slots to store them safe-n-snug in.

Size Differentials...

Size Differentials...

There are two different size cases, depends on the glasses you choose, and the extra replacement lenses for each. The *Radar Path-type glasses (and their extra lenses) are in a larger case (at least, that's how they're sent from Oakley). The *Splits/Racing Jacket-type frames come in a smaller case (typically); as their extra lenses are much smaller.

Shown here on the left is the *Radar Path, in it's original case, and extra lens.

On the left is the *Split Jacket, in it's original case and extra lens.

A "necessary evil"...

  • Gender: Female
  • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
  • Fit: Runs large

I've a few of these...Does the job, as most other's have stated, but the amount of foam padding used to help absorb the shock of a possible fall, does make this case super bulky to fit in a moderate pack (when not in use), and for us ladies, forget about stowing in a moderate sized purse (some of their cases are larger than others, depends on what glasses you buy, and type of exchangeable lenses)!
Scarcely fits in the glove compartment, but I wouldn't keep them in the car, anyway (summer heat would warp & ruin them).
But, when you consider the investment (which is mucho $ in some cases!), it's both necessary and worth the added protection/bulk!

Your shades come with a cleaning-pouch which you can slip the glasses into, and then put that into a moderate hydration pack (cycling-size), where space is a premium, and the case is too large to tote along...even in my Osprey 14 (well, it'll fit, but at the sacrifice of other essentials, not worth it to me): they will fit in the cleaning pouch, which can be slipped into the top-zip pocket that Osprey specifically designed for such use. Love the genius of *Osprey!

*watch the zipper, I've had it get 'stuck' a few times...use care.

Protection for your system!

  • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
  • Fit: True to size

Great protection for your frames, and you can store lenses in the foam. I toss in the cleaning jacket as well... While it is bulky, and definitely not crush-proof - it does a great job of protecting your Oaks.

Great Product

The sunglass vault is perfect for safeguarding your Oakley Half Jackets. It is a bit bulky, making the vault impractical for putting in your pocket. However, it is great for packing your glasses for travel and/or keeping them in your car.

Don't keep your Oakley's in your car, especially in summer...the excessive heat that builds up in just minutes can/will warp them!

Oakley soft vault.

This is a superb item. Your glasses fit snugly in the vault, along with a wiping cloth and changeable lens.

The only thing I have negative to say about it is the size, it’s big, this is something that you only use in your car or in a backpack.

Great Product

I use my Oakley's for golf and need to change lenses depending on the light alot. This case makes the whole process easy and keeps the lenses safe. Plus the case is light and small enough to carry in my golf bag.
