    When Style Matters

    • Familiarity:I've put it through the wringer
    • Fit:True to size

I just picked up what is probably my fourth pair of Frogskins in the last 10 years. I love the look and fit, and the polarized lenses make these even better than the standard ones I'm used to. They are very light and seem flimsy, but can stand up to plenty of abuse. Just don't sit on them, let your friend sit on them, or drop them into the deepest part of the lake.

    Right on Wayfarer

    • Familiarity:I've used it several times
    • Fit:True to size

I would recommend these to anyone looking for a solid pair of wayfarer style sunglasses. The lenses are super clear and durable. They are a overall pretty lightweight pair of glasses that fit your face comfortbly. They do well just wish they came with a hardcase.

    Worked great!

    • Familiarity:I've used it several times

I bought this pair of sunglasses as my first ever pair of polarized lenses. I deckhand on a charter boat during the summer, so I wanted a pair that seemed sturdy enough to withstand salty spray and halibut blood and guts, while still not looking or being too fancy. This pair does exactly that! I purchased the Black/Ruby Iridium for a pop of color in overcast weather and I love the polarization of these. They tone down the brightness tremendously and keep me from squinting into the water and reflective clouds. I don't have to worry about losing these while peering into the water over the edge of the boat, unlike my RayBan aviators, because of their plastic frame and curvature behind the ear. I have been super happy with this pair and will continue to rock 'em until they can't be rocked anymore!

    Great Lightweight Sunglasses

Great pair of sunglasses, especially with the polarized lenses that embody the Ray-Ban Wayfarer style at significantly less weight. I hardly ever wear my Ray-Bans after purchasing these glasses. The optics are great despite being a plastic lens. You cannot go wrong with theses!

      Love These!

      • Familiarity:I've put it through the wringer

I lost my original pair of Frogskins and decided to give these a try. They look great and are lightweight. I particularly like the construction of the arms. I've accidentally sat on mine several times and the arms easily pop off before breaking. I bought mine in Black/Ruby Iridium. The picture's a little deceiving, there's a lot more pink than it suggest. They're only orange/yellow at extreme angles, but I guess I should have known that given they're Rudy lenses. Biggest complaint would probably be the price but that's kind of the cost that comes with buying Oakleys.

      Rubbish

      • Familiarity:I returned this product before using it

I can't believe what I paid for these! Sure the lenses are polarised but the frames are something I would expect to buy at a gas station. Cheap plastic hinges which look like they would have no durability.

I returned these sunglasses instantly after they arrived in the mail.

      Meh!

      • Familiarity:I've used it several times
      • Fit:True to size

I got a pair of these in the non polarized and polarized versions. I thought I would try them out for casual sunglasses and compare them to my Revo's. In the end I think they are cool and stylish, but the lens quality in both the pol and nonpol versions is horrendous. If you are looking to look cool then this is your glasses, but put on a pair of Revo and or Maui Jim's right after these and you will then know what I am talking about. You can't beat a crystalline lens with a plastic lens. Aside from that they are light and you can put pretty much any lens in them you want. In the end If I am going to spend over 100 for sunglasses I want to get what I pay for.

      Classic

      • Familiarity:I've put it through the wringer

I love Frogskins. Great fit, lightweight, super durable and fantastic optical quality. They are great for any activity, but I particularly love them for snowboarding since they reduce glare without blocking out too much light. Perfect for tree runs on a sunny day or any situation where you are transitioning rapidly between bright sun and shade.

If you are looking for a high mirror finish go with the irradium lenses, the standard gray polarized lenses ar not as mirrored and seem to be a bit more translucent.

      Steezy

Awesome glasses. Fit a medium-smaller face. if you have a big dome then I would discourage you from getting them. Fit my face well and stay put. as was said, definitely all style and less versatility. The glasses on the side and top outside corner let a lot of light in. I wear the polarized ones fishing all the time and the lenses do great. if I wear a hat then the light doesn't create a glare on the inside. Over all they are rad, and they work.

        Da bestest

Some people trash the frogs for being to expensive for the quality. To bad these are some of the nicest shades i've ever owned. YES!!! They are a very light pair of shades. How this means they're cheap is beyond me. I dont need a solid piece of steel on my face to feel like i spent my money well. The fit is perfect. Ever buy some cheap sunglasses that never seem to stay level on your face? Well do not worry as long you have a pretty symmetrical face your frogs will stay level. Also my frogs seem to grip my head just perfectly to stay on while I do my business, whether it's going to the store or passing lacrosse. One more upside these babys are made in amurica so it helps support uhmerican jobs and stuff. (really though its nice that Oakley still makes their stuff in the states)

Overall the Frogskins are a cool stylish pair of shades that are very well made. Just remember they're not indestructible

          coolest sunglasses ever!

Frogskins are hands down the coolest shades around. I had ones that got stolen, bought them again, that's how passionate i am about them. There's not a time i wear it that people don't want to try them on.

I have the white frame with ruby iridium lenses.

            coolest sunglasses ever!

            Frogskins

It actually sucks that frogskins are being offered on dogfunk
For many years the coolest part about frogskins was their demand. They weren't offered or distributed to all sunglass shops. At the early stage of the "limited supply" reissues, boutique shops sold dead-stock and sample early releases. Then the polarized, firmer, better built throwback versions came out and the demand stayed on a "need to know" basis. I knew one shop in Boston that sold FS's and I can admit i went an entire year - four seasons - with never seeing a single pair, aside from a green/clear/yellow lens classic pair some snowboarder chick had. That luster has worn off, I still love my "reissues" yeah they are polarized, yeah, they are light and delicate to the touch, but a little care and some pride? you have yourself a pair of shades. just dont buy them from here, go to your local shop and see what they can do for Chr*st sake

              soooo comfortable

I'm Japanese, so it's hard for me to find a well-fitting pair of sunglasses. I've tried so many brands like Smith, Anon, Native and Ray Ban... but nothing compared to the comfort of my Frogskins. These sunglasses don't weigh a thing either... unfortunately, this is the very reason I lost mine!! :(
I was hiking around the local crag to go climb, and I must have taken a hard step and they slid off my head and into a little crevice that I couldn't get to! Haha, of course this is all my fault, but it'd be maybe nicer if the inside of the arms had something a little more sticky.

Overall, the best pair of sunglasses I had ever owned.

                Light retro frames

Many people pick up a pair of frogs and automatically comment that they feel cheap. This comment seems to be due to how light these are. Since the Frogskin is more slim lined than a pair of Rayban Wayfarers, it is lighter. This is a good thing though. It feels like you have nothing on your face. Couple this with high end Oakley optics, and you have a super light, high end pair of shades. Of course these have good style too. Some people have said that these can't be used for active use. I've snowboarded with them plenty of times and never had a problem with them flying off or getting heavy wind drafts, across my eyes. I am sure there are other Oakleys that wrap better, but they probably weigh more than these.

Fit wise, I think these are similar to a size L rayban wayfarer frame. If you have a bigger head, these rule.

                  good style, not much else

First off, I love the Frogskins. Oakley's Frogskins have always been, and still are, one of the more sought after fashion accessories. But the Frogskins are fashion accessories, and not much else. The re-released frogskins were never intended to be anything other than streetwear. If you need something for sports/want something that will really stick to your face, go with almost any other Oakley sunglass (the Jupiter is a great Frogskins alternative). I give the Frogskins 4 stars only because there are little things that Oakley could do to improve the shades, such as narrowing the mold, beefing up the hinges, and spicing up the more recent colorways.

These ones are polarized, and Oakley polarization is AWESOME. Trust me.
