Oakley Four Sunglasses take design cues from retro-inspired styling. Four-base lens curvature reduces side rake to position the lenses in a defined plane in front of the eyes. Frame geometry compresses vertical dimensions for a lateral spread with distinctive angles. Augmented with true metal icons, the O Matter frame features a sculptural hinge design. The Oakley Four achieves optimum clarity with the use of pure Plutonite lens material, a proprietary innovation that blocks 100% of all UVA, UVB, UVC and harmful blue light. Oakley created polarization lens technology that reduces glare without sacrificing clarity, performance or durability. Common techniques of incorporating polarization films into lenses by lamination (using adhesive to sandwich the film between lens layers) and drop forming (sandwiching then heating and pressing over contoured forms) can cause haziness and optical distortion. Oakley uses an injection-molding process to infuse lightweight Plutonite lens material around the filter.
