With a sleek frame and precision optics, Oakley designed the Fives 3.0 Sunglasses as streetwear for its pro athletes. Not only are these shades super lightweight thanks to their medium-sized O Matter frames, but they're also styled to look fast—even if you're just kicking back on the beach. The Fives are impact resistant, tout Oakley's distortion-free XYZ Optics, and utilize black Iridium Plutonite lenses, which give you crystal clear vision in bright conditions.
Bottom Line: Street style and Oakley's legendary optics combine.
These are by far the best par of sunglasses I've owned. They fit perfectly, block out the sun very well, and best of all they look great. I own a pair of the older style oakley five sunglasses and seeing how long they lasted i decided to replace them with the newer version of the fives, and I'm glad I did!
Before I tried on a pair of Oakley's, I never spent more than $20 on a pair of sunglasses because I thought it wouldn't be worth spending more. I was so wrong. I love my Oakley's, and they're worth every penny. I go running in them and they don't try to fall off my face. I didn't even have to get the Asian fit glasses (I tried on a pair in the store to be sure). They're comfy, stylish, and they go with everything I have (I got the brown smoke frames with the dark bronze lenses). I highly recommend these to anyone.

i recently bought these glasses and i'm am very surprised by the quality fit and feel of these glasses. Ive been a liftime wearer of smith optics but these our great to. U don't feel them on your face they our so light the o matter is the real deal. If u our looking for a great pair of all around glasses these are perfect
This is my first pair of plastic Oakley frames since back in the '90s when I rocked the M frames. I've worn these to run, bike and frequently wear them to the office or just hanging out on the weekends. They're reasonably priced, light, fit snuggly and are a great looking pair of shades. In fact, I have a hard time even wearing my other sunglasses since I added these to the collection.
Love them, great fit. Lightweight on the face. Feel a little cheap, but I love them. GREAT price from a great place. Very nice people and service. I was sick of cheap ($10) glasses.
I had these in the late 1990's as well and it was good to go back to something reliable. Also, LOVE the customer service at backcountry. They helped me out a lot. Thanks
The fives 3.0 looks great, I love the square frame shape on these sunglasses. They are light and the $ for plastic frames fits right in my budget. If you sweat they tend to get on the lens because the sun glasses have no nose support. I push them up on my forehead like my other wired Oakley with hinge spring and they stay! The frame and lens are very simple and you get what you pay for.
I have owned Fives 2.0 for years and thought I would try the new more square shaped 3.0's. They are pretty much the same except square. Perhaps they are just a litte narrower than the 2.0's they seem to touch my temples more than my 2.0's. Also where the arm connects to the lenses they are much wider and I kind of notice the obstruction in my view. As far as quality they are just fine.
I bought these sunglasses in the grey/black iridium and they are awesome. I have a medium sized adult face, and they fit my face perfect. They are really light, you can hardly tell they are on your face. They dont have the rubberized stuff on the ear pieces, so if your head was shaking around violently, they might come off. If you plan on wearing your sunglasses, and shaking your head violently, I would not recommend them. I get plenty of complements when I wear these sunglasses. They are stylish with the square frames, but not too trendy or whatever. These lenses are really dark, so if your looking to use them in low light situations, which I dont know why you would be looking for sunglasses for that situation anyways, dont get them.
The sunglasses are actually much darker than they look online. Other than that, nice pair of sunglasses and I especially like the black iridium lenses.
