I bought these to replace an old non-polarized set of Fives. At first they seemed to be not be very dark, but the polarization seems to make the intensities more manageable. The optical qualities are great and the standard polarizing effects apply (glare reduction/etc). Only strange effect is a purple sheen that appears over surfaces at certain polarization angles, but its easy to get used to

Whether I'm skiing, mountain biking, or patrolling my beat, my 2.0 Fives have a great fit, with excellent coverage for peripheral sunlight. The polarized gray lenses render objects in natural tones and glare reduction is superb.

Now, when I'm tooling around the desert, it's nice to know that I've got these shades on my side. Granted, I wasn't 100% sure what exactly "polarized" meant when I got them, but I found out how nice it really is. I still don't think I could explain it, but it definitely comes in handy when the sun's trying to fry your peepers. These shades are super light, they look great, and your eyes will thank you later.

Great shades I owned a pair of these before that were un-polarized but lost them. I first decided to replace them with Fives 3.0, but they are too big for my face so went back and this time got the polarized version. This makes a huge difference for glare, perfect!

had my 1st pair for about 4-5 years until the lens was peppered with pits & scratches. bought 2nd pair, had it for about 2-3 yrs until some idiot from work knocked it off my desk and crushed it. overall, you wont regret buying these glasses...if you can still find em
