Yaar matey. Whether ye have one eye or ye have em both, shield yer eyes from harsh glare reflected off flat surfaces like snow, pavement, and water with the Oakley Eyepatch Polarized Sunglasses. To give you the highest quality optics available, Oakley milled the Eyepatch's lenses from a single piece of impact-resistant Plutonite polycarbonate. The result is a sunglass that's as functional on the lake or on the road as it is fashionable. Oakley's new Square O logos prove this Eyepatch is a genuine Oakley article.
Bottom Line: If form and function hijacked a ship it would be called the HMS Oakley Eyepatch.
Immediately upon putting these glasses on I am stunned with the clarity and darkness of these glasses. The only downside is that the earpieces are uncomfortable after about an hour and a half. The earpieces seem to stab into my ear, the design could be fixed if the ends were tapered rather than expanded. This is bad for me because I commonly drive for 6 hours on the way home to South Carolina from school in Virginia.

I have never owned a pair of polarized sunglasses previous to the Eyepatch, and I can safely say that are one of my best purchases. These are the best pair of sunglasses I have ever owned, and the price is unbeatable.
I shopped around for quite a few days in the local area, trying on Smith, Native, and many other brands. While Native seemed to have good sport fit sunglasses, I found the distortion level to be a little high in the styles I tried on. I was disappointed with Smith as well, and after trying on many of their sunglasses, I didn't feel like any of them were completey secure on my large head.
Finally after trying on a pair of these, I immediately knew they were the fit and size for me. I highly recommend them for any active person. The polarized lenses have minimal distortion, and are great for reducing the brightness without sacrificing visibility. To me the glare reduction makes a world of difference especially in the city where the sun bounces directly off cars and windows right into your eyes, thus making the polarized feature excellent for driving. Also their excellent fit makes them barely noticeable on my head, while not hurting my ears or nose bridge in the process. Fogging of the lenses is minimal, as long as you make sure to have some air flow.
Five stars for great sunglasses at an affordable price!
Grabbed these off SAC after reading a review about how they fit someone with a gigantic dome better than the gas cans. He was right on the money. I was in the market to replace my gas cans since they had been beaten to shit, lots of divots on the lenses from a large drop onto gravel.
It worked out well because I lost my gas cans in drunken river romp the day after I ordered these.
Anyhow, the eyepatchs fit my gigantic 63 cm XXL giro wearing thunder dome. The coverage is great and the optics are spot on for Oakley polarized.
Two minor down sides keep them from getting 5 stars. The arms of the glasses are a little thin and look almost not right for the eye part, but its not bad. And I've gotten comments on how they look like "shield" style glasses that trendy people wear :(
Not for people with small heads. Luckily, I have a big head and they fit me perfectly. I'm not read to buy "sport," sunglasses, but I've done 40 mile bike rides with these and had no problems. The lenses are huge, which is great because after a few minutes you forget that you're wearing sunglasses. Also: no color distortion.
Having owned Smith's Super Method shades until I was relieved of them by a KC parking valet, I like sunglasses with coverage. That being said, these allow no light in the sides have Oakley's usual excellent optical quality and fit my face very well. I would recommend them for anyone who wants maximal coverage, one of Oakley's best ventures into the large, non blade, sunglasses.
I've been using these for long bike trips and they are fantastic- no distortion at all, and no weird color changes. The coverage is so wide that it looks more like you are looking out of a picture window than wearing a pear of sunglasses.
These are also nice to have if you don't want to buy one pair of sunglasses for riding and another for everything else. I wouldn't be caught dead wearing those ultra-sporty sunglasses out to the beach, but these work fine for both.
Also: I have a fairly large head and they are snug but fit comfortably.
I have always wanted Oakley sunglasses and I now have 2. The eyepatch was purchased as a spare but I wear them all the time. I love them way more than the more expensive ones purchased from optical center. They are so comfortable and VERY cool looking.
These are great shades! I have bought Smith Shades exclusively for many years after Oakley pi*%ed me off. Then on SAC these pop up!
I bit and I am not disappointed. Own MANY pairs of Smith Super Method. These are larger and have better coverage. Pinch on my nose to there is a star lost.
If you have a nose that has never been broken these are the shades you want! I plan on wearing these for quite some time.
I have a monkey face: big high check bones, cro-mag forehead, and a small head. I always had problems finding sunglass that provided coverage. These are amazing sunglasses. I bought them specifically to survive Crested Butte summers, but I find myself wearing them everywhere. The styling even gets the nod from the uber-conservatives I work with.
I love these shades!! I have some gascan's and they are a little tight on my big head.(7 5/8's) These are a little bigger, awesome visibility from all angles. Polorized is the way to go. By far the best lenses I've ever had. Perfect in light, and in darker situations. Lenses might be a little big for some people, I love them!!
