Description

Goggles fit for glasses: because they don't block out the snow very well by themselves.

Spectacled skiers and boarders can easily wear their prescription glasses under the Oakley Catapult OTG Goggle, which blocks the snow and sun to enhance vision and the overall radness of any day on the mountain. Its wide, flexible frame fits over most eye-glass styles while its vented lens blocks UV rays, snow, and glare to add even greater clarity than your eyeglasses.

  • Lexan lens blocks out 100% of UVA, UVB, UVC, and harmful blue rays
  • Flexible O-Matter frame yields a form-fitting design that doesn't cramp your nasal cavity or freeze up in extreme cold
  • Three-layer fleece foam liner is soft and smooth on your face and dries quickly after you rag-doll for a hundred yards and sweat while retrieving your gear
  • Top lens vents and F2 Fog Technology prevents interior condensation during hikes and after falls
  • Interchangeable strap attachment plates let you fine-tune the fit to your helmet or helmet-free riding
  • Optional Iridium coating (only in specified models) beefs up glare reduction for exceptionally sunny sessions

Good fit (OTG)

  • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

No more struggling to get standard goggles to fit over my glasses, these work great.

Dad is happy.

  • Familiarity: I gave it as a gift

My folks have a place in the middle of nowhere Wisconsin and like to play outside when boiling water freezes almost instantly. I bought these goggles for him to protect his eyes when he insists upon heading out in stupid cold temps. While he's not so good at adjusting the strap, these goggles didn't quite work over his glasses, even after he figured out the strap can change length. He'll wear them without his glasses and so long as he's just snowshoeing, I'm not too worried.

Mother loves them

  • Familiarity: I gave it as a gift

Purchased these bad boys as a gift. My mother has had problems with contacts so she needed a pair of goggles that she can wear with her glasses. The OTG goggles works great. Their is tons of room for her glasses and no pressure from the goggles on her face. She loves them. If you are looking for a pair of goggles to be compatible with glasses look no further.

They Kinda Worked

  • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

I'll admit they weren't the most comfortable to wear with my glasses, as they pressed my glasses into my face and thus put continued glasses pressure on my face. So they weren't the most comfortable thing to wear. It could be my glasses, my facial structure, who knows, a variety of reasons for it not working fully for me, but I ended up skiing just with my sport prescription sunglasses nonetheless. People tell me to not do that, but my sunglasses worked perfectly, and was way more comfortable and way less bulky. So just be cautious, these may or may not work for you.

Can you recommend some more goggles that are eyeglass compatible? My husband needs a pair of goggles that will fit over his glasses.

Responded on

Well, you're on the right track with these. Anything with OTG (over-the-glasses) in the title is going to work, so unless he has a favorite brand, the thing you'll want to take into consideration is what tint of lens he needs. My personal favorite brand of goggles is Smith, since they seem to universally be the most compatible with helmets.

Are these goggles airtight? I'm thinking of getting them for Burning Man, where there'll be a lot of dust. Don't want any dust getting into my goggles.

Eyeglass friendly

  • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

I'm allergic to contact lenses, and blind as a bat without my glasses - so I needed to find a goggle that would fit over my glasses... while managing to not be a piece of crap.

I bought these in white with the Persimmon lens. They fit over my glasses very well, and don't squeeze them against my head via the headband.

Field of vision is fine and they have yet to fog up on me.

  • Gender: Male
  • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

sometimes i wear contacts, sometimes i wear glasses. my glasses fit just fine under these but they aren't overly huge like other OTG goggles i've had. i always get compliments on how good these goggles look. also, these goggles have literally NEVER fogged up on me.

I currently use Oakley O goggles and find that they fit me and my helmet really well. I have tried other Oakley frames but could not find a style that was comfortable.
As I might be needing to ski in perscription specs in the future (I'm getting old.....) I wondered if these frames were similar in shape to the O's ?
