Oakley's biggest lens yet to help you see everything on the mountain, with or without prescription glasses.

Oakley's brand-spanking-new model for winter 2012-13, the Canopy Goggle, is the first oversized goggle produced by Oakley so you can enjoy the same solid style with even more vertical and peripheral vision as you throw down on the mountain. With the same vented dual lens and XYZ Optics you depend on for going big in the park, this gog gives you the biggest field of vision yet and even lets you wear your eyeglasses underneath its big, flexible frame.

    • Tough Plutonite lenses block out 100% of UVA, UVB, UVC, and harmful blue rays
    • Oakley's XYZ Optics reduce distortion in all directions
    • Durable, flexible frame yields a form-fitting design that doesn't cramp your nasal cavity
    • Fully helmet- AND eyeglass-compatible design fits with your brain bucket and spectacles
    • Extra-large lens supplies increased peripheral and vertical vision and fits large faces
    • Three-layer fleece foam liner is soft and smooth on your face and dries quickly after you rag-doll for a hundred yards and then sweat while retrieving your gear
    • Recessed sides in the fleece make sure your eyeglass frames don't touch the inside of the goggle lens
    • Several top lens vents and F3 Fog Technology prevent interior condensation during hikes and after falls
    • Silicone-coated strap grip secures the goggle to your helmet or hat
    • Select models (depending on availability) feature a glare-reducing Iridium coating which enhances optical clarity on the sunniest days

    Mad Peripheral!

    • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

I've had these googles for quite a long time and they have held up in all conditions, from warm sunny spring days to the frigid cold dumping days. I like my googles somewhat large on my face, I feel that I can see more and these goggles do that for me. I haven't had problems with fogging either. Even in this picture I posted (after a crash). The lens I had, I used for most conditions from sunny to overcast days. I once used it for night riding but I wouldn't recommend it, the lens is too dark in my opinion.

If you have any questions on gear or this goggle, hit me up!

    Mad Peripheral!

    Excellent product

This item fits perfectly with my Smith helmet. Hi-Viz Yellow works great on overcast, low/flat light, and night skiing. It is made for those with a medium to large face. Worth the money!

    Sick goggles, works OTG too

    • Familiarity: I've used it several times

Got these as a pair that would fit over my glasses, and they do that and better. Looks amazing from the outside (I have the blue mirror lens with blue/black strap) and the field of vision is massive and they never fog. Great for anything from a bluebird pow day to heavy clouds. The Prizim lenses are epic - no glare, no fog, totally worth it. Oakley might be expensive but they make some darn good goggles and these are excellent.

    March 27th Pow Day!

This is my second pair of Canopy goggles I bought after the first ones were stolen. I use them every single day either at work or skiing. Great fit over my glasses and never fog up. Glasses will fog up only in the most challenging conditions. I also have the HI Yellow lens that I usually use on low light days like this.

    Absolutely perfect!

I used these for 2 out of 3 days on my trip to Breckenridge. Most days were anywhere from 5-25 degrees outside. Used the fire iridium in all conditions from overcast to sunny. Almost never had issues with fogging. I wore them with my Giro Seam helmet and they fit perfectly.

These fit and worked better than the Giro Onset I purchased.

    Absolutely perfect!

    Love it!

Great googles! The previous ones I had were much cheaper (I don't even remember the brand), so for me it's a great improvement in quality. Definitely better and wider view and they look so stylish. I don't mind the size (they are pretty big, so get ready to look like a bug on a slopes:), and this frame look even cooler in real life!

    Great goggles.

    • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

First of all this is the first pair of goggles I've ever had that felt great even after wearing them all day. Add to that the unbelievable view, plus they never fog no matter the conditions. I wore Smiths for years. The lense quality in these Oakleys is just far superior, a whole different league. These are like wearing an enormous pair of Maui Jims.

    Large & Charge

    • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

I purchased the Oakley Canopy Midevil Blue & Dark Grey Lens, and am so happy with my purchase. The goggle really sits well on my face with the large spherical frame & lens, giving the wearer so much more visibility. I'm coming from a crowbar which were a little narrow for my face, to a larger setup like the Canopy and couldn't be happier. Will likely purchase a Prizm Jade Iridium lens in the future for lower light days.

Stoked and can't wait to give these boys a beating! Telluride here I come!

    Best goggle on the market.

    • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

These goggles are by far the best, most incredible pair I have ever had in over 40 years of skiing. They even fit over my glasses and do not fog up here in the Pacific Northwest where we get some pretty sketchy wet weather. The field of vision is incredible and the two lenses that come with the goggles cover the range. I had to retire my other year old Oakley's and may never use then again.

    Never go back!

    • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

The first time is skied in the Oakley Canopy it was game changing. The oversized lens in this goggle gives you an unreal field of view. After using this goggle, whenever i use a more standard midsize goggle it feels so small and all i notice is how much of the goggle I actually see while skiing. Once you use the canopy it will be hard to ever go back to a midsize goggle again.

    a good value

    • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

I bought these goo ogles because they are OTG and I am very happy with my purchase. In fact, I have purchase two additional replacement lenses (different tints) for skiing. I did need to modify the frame with an exact knife to change lenses due to the fit (too tight) but this was a minor issue and I am very happy with the result.

    very disappointed

    • Familiarity: I returned this product before using it

This is the second pair of so called over the glasses goggles I have purchased from Backcountry. Both have in no way fit over the glasses. I even chatted online and the recommended goggles--these DO NOT FIT OVER GLASSES. They don't even have the cutouts for them. I blame my online helper, not the goggles. Not at all helpful and now I have to go mail them back. And I still don't have any new goggles.

    Beautiful View

    • Familiarity: I gave it as a gift but have feedback to share

I've rocked Oakley goggles for many seasons now, so when I gave these as a gift I knew that they would be solid goggles. After talking with my brother after he used them several times he absolutely loves them. The field of vision is incredible on these as well as the fact that they simply don't fog up. The only issue he ran into with them is that they don't fit his Bern helmet as well as he would like, so if you wear a Bern model, beware. Otherwise these goggles have been nothing but spectacular for him overall.

    Great Goggles

    • Familiarity: I've used it several times

Great Goggles, work very well as OTG. I find that my glasses will fog up though at the bottom of the run, while the goggles won't be, which is annoying but usually resolves on the chairlift. They can be kind of hard to fit to a helmet without getting a helmet gape.

    Goggles are D0pe

    • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

These goggles are F******* amazing, they have a great lenses that did not fog up once and I used the blacked out Canapy's all day and partially into the night and never once could I not see depth. Unlike Splice's that I have used in the past they do not make my eyes sweat, they have a very nice venting system. All in all best pair of goggles for the price I have ever used. OAKLEY > ANON

    These goggles rock!

    • Familiarity: I've used it several times

These are Oakley's answer to the oversized google craze sweeping the ski and snowboard community. Oakley has delivered! The field of view is amazing and they are crazy comfortable. These are now my favorite Oakley goggles.

    Primo

    • Familiarity: I've used it several times

The Oakley Canopy could be the perfect goggle. The lenses are awesome and I love how big the frame is. You can see EVERYTHING!! After wearing these goggles I don't know if i'll be able to wear another frame.

How important are polarized lenses? I've been reading the reviews on the Canopy's and I'm impressed. My last pair were Zeal polarized that I liked very much. That's the only thing keeping me from ordering the Oakley's.

I've had a pair of Canopy's for two seasons now and have not had any problems with glare. I have very sensitive eyes and wear the Emerald Iridium lenses on bright days and have not had any issues with eye fatigue. A lot of my friends wear Oakley's and I've never heard any complaints.

I was hoping these would fit since they look pretty sweet, but i've got a small/medium sized dome and figure these will be too big.

Any rad suggestions outside of the Ambush and Elevate models? Anybody with smaller faces found that some of the big models work anyway?!?

Hey Todd, I'd say I have a medium sized face (definitely not small) and I think the Canopy is a good fit, despite the seemingly large size. In my experience though, the Crowbar will definitely fit smaller. I used them for a couple days and I found they were more narrowly curved both side to side as well as in the nose. If you have a small/medium face, I'd give them a try for sure!

Hello, I am looking for some goggles to wear while hunting in blizzard like conditions. I would like for them to be eyeglass compatible. I would only be wearing them under cloudy/overcast conditions. One more thing, I'd like to only spend around $50. Do you have any goggles you'd recommend?

Hey there, both have the same frame shape/style, so both are going to fit the helmet about the same as far as the "gap" is concerned. The canopy is quite a bit larger all around so it will fill the helmet face hole a lot more and extend toward your ears more. So it is going to come down to which goggle fits your face better, if you have a small-medium sized head, the canopy will probably be to big. Both work good for me but I have been rockin' the canopy with my Giro Omen helmet without "gap issues.

How do these compare to the electric eg2?...

How do these compare to the electric eg2? Bigger, smaller? Better fit with helmet?

They look outright boring from the outside, but the horizontal view is a titty-bitty wider than EG2. Still, I find these boring as hell and will either stay with EG2s or buy another Splice/Airbreak, but not this piece of crap.
