Description
Oakley's biggest lens yet to help you see everything on the mountain, with or without prescription glasses.
Oakley's brand-spanking-new model for winter 2012-13, the Canopy Goggle, is the first oversized goggle produced by Oakley so you can enjoy the same solid style with even more vertical and peripheral vision as you throw down on the mountain. With the same vented dual lens and XYZ Optics you depend on for going big in the park, this gog gives you the biggest field of vision yet and even lets you wear your eyeglasses underneath its big, flexible frame.
- Tough Plutonite lenses block out 100% of UVA, UVB, UVC, and harmful blue rays
- Oakley's XYZ Optics reduce distortion in all directions
- Durable, flexible frame yields a form-fitting design that doesn't cramp your nasal cavity
- Fully helmet- AND eyeglass-compatible design fits with your brain bucket and spectacles
- Extra-large lens supplies increased peripheral and vertical vision and fits large faces
- Three-layer fleece foam liner is soft and smooth on your face and dries quickly after you rag-doll for a hundred yards and then sweat while retrieving your gear
- Recessed sides in the fleece make sure your eyeglass frames don't touch the inside of the goggle lens
- Several top lens vents and F3 Fog Technology prevent interior condensation during hikes and after falls
- Silicone-coated strap grip secures the goggle to your helmet or hat
- Select models (depending on availability) feature a glare-reducing Iridium coating which enhances optical clarity on the sunniest days

Hello, I am looking for some goggles to wear while hunting in blizzard like conditions. I would like for them to be eyeglass compatible. I would only be wearing them under cloudy/overcast conditions. One more thing, I'd like to only spend around $50. Do you have any goggles you'd recommend?
HUGE Goggle!

Great goggle, comfortable, vents easy and fits inside of my helmet without issue. Lens is swapped out using the same Oakley changing method; pull real hard and fight it back in. I have a mirrored emerald lens and the high intensity yellow lens and haven't changed the lens out much, the emerald lens seems to work in most conditions. The cons? They are HUGE! I have scratched the lens with my board or hitting the goggles on something while on top of my helmet because they stick out so much... but thats what replacement lenses are for!
I can see!!

I bought the Digi-Camo/VR50 and it's perfect here in PacNW. Granted 50% of my riding is at night, but this one deals with it all, whilst being very comfy. I've always bought mid-level goggles thinking that the expensive ones weren't worth it, but at least in this case, they are!!.

This goggles are extremely comfortable and have a great range of vision, since they are oversized. I personally have enjoyed them and believe that others will too.
Love my Canopies sooo far.

Just got my canopy's in the mail yesterday. Love the quick 2-day shipping. For anyone who cares, this goggle fits the poc receptor bug perfectly. I know its a notoriously difficult helmet to find goggles that fit it correctly.
I haven't tried it on the slopes yet, but fit perfectly and i love the extra peripheral vision and the fact they cover a little more on my face to keep it warm.

Canopy or Crowbar? I have a fairly big gap to cose in my black helmet.

Hey there, both have the same frame shape/style, so both are going to fit the helmet about the same as far as the "gap" is concerned. The canopy is quite a bit larger all around so it will fill the helmet face hole a lot more and extend toward your ears more. So it is going to come down to which goggle fits your face better, if you have a small-medium sized head, the canopy will probably be to big. Both work good for me but I have been rockin' the canopy with my Giro Omen helmet without "gap issues.

Huge goggles with a huge field of vision; exactly what I was looking for. The fire iridium lens isn't great for low light and shadows, but stellar on bluebird days.
How do these compare to the electric eg2?...

How do these compare to the electric eg2? Bigger, smaller? Better fit with helmet?

They look outright boring from the outside, but the horizontal view is a titty-bitty wider than EG2. Still, I find these boring as hell and will either stay with EG2s or buy another Splice/Airbreak, but not this piece of crap.

Thanks. Yeah, they do seem quite bland for looks. I've been on a few sets of crowbars for years now, just want to try something new with a bigger field of vision

Any word as to when the replacement lenses will be available for the canopy?
Thanks
I just can't go back to my Crowbars now!

These are huge feakin' goggles, I mean a giant windshield for your eyes! They do look ridiculous with a hat on but the Canopy really shines with a helmet. I use a Giro and the goggles fit seamlessly. Your field of vision is superb and there is the added bonus of keeping the upper part of your cheeks warm, which for me is a place that always gets exposed when using the Crowbars. The lens and frame are the normal Oakley quality. Very comfortable to wear with an average sized face.
not as wide as fishbowls

i rode fishbowls last season, and they were HUGE, they just pinched my nose a little too much, and the lens on them wasn't too great. this year, i've been eyeing some large goggles, including oakley canopy, smith i/ox, electric eg2. i've tried them all on for a while, or used them (eg2), and i feel like the canopy just doesn't have as wide or tall of a view as the others. granted, they're sick goggles. they have a super clean style, they look amazing, they're comfortable, and they're oakley quality, both in the lens and frame. they just don't do it for me though, i wouldn't spend the money on them. I would expect them to have a larger field of vision, and be more comfortable (granted, subjective), than the rest of the competition. for the best view, go fishbowls if they fit. the smith i/ox was the most comfortable
Excellent Choice

I have sworn by the crowbar for years but decided to check out the canopy for this season the look is sick and they offer a way better field of vision and the nose is slightly wider so you can breathe easy.
sick for sure
