Wearing a hoody is comfy, but the bunching of the hood behind your back when you sit down and under your jacket when you layer on top of the sweatshirt is not comfy. That’s why Oakley made the Women’s Batalion Full-Zip Hooded Sweatshirt with a split-zip hood. That means you can zip up the center of the hood and enjoy cozy head warmth, and you can unzip and lay the sides of the hood flat across your shoulders and back when you get inside. An embroidered design decorates the inside of the hood, and hand pockets and a hidden chest pocket give you storage space for keys and your wallet.

This hoody is pretty darn warm and comfortable except for one flaw... the zipper on the split hood pulls my hair ALL THE TIME. Other than that, the jacket fits really true to size, the fabric is nice and thick and soft, I just don't find the split hood to be the greatest thing ever.

I was disappointed to see only 2 sizes available. My daughter is only 5'3" and normally wears a medium. Would the large size be way too big for her?

Definitely a thicker hoody for those days you don't want to wear a jacket but a hoody may not be warm enough. True to size. I am 5'2", 120 lbs and a small was perfect. Great big hood too that really keeps you dry. Only complaint is that it is a little long for short torsos.
