Technical Jacket

  • Familiarity:I've put it through the wringer

This jacket is super comfy, kept me warm even though its a shell, and allowed me to dump heat fast with the hike strap and vents. The goggle pocket is perfect for a media device as you don't have to open the main zipper to access it. The magnetic hood is great as it keeps your hood down and out of the way when skiing switch. The only problem I had with it is that the RECCO system on the arm is starting to fall off due to it hitting trees and everyday wear and that it is expensive.

top of the line

this jacket is amazing, it is top of the line and it is fully waterproffed, durable, and comfy. this is mostly for spring skiing (-10 to 10), but if u where a sweater underneth u will be fine. the only thing that i didnt like about this jacket is the hood because its to small.

    • Familiarity:I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

after one day of wearing the stiching on the beacon came out and fell off and it is not a warm jacket there is no insalation witch is not in the discription. it was very disapointing because i really like oakly products

Love this jacket. Has been great on 40* days and holds it's own on 3* days. Side vents are easy to open/close even with mittens on. Zipper pocket provides easy phone/iPod access when you're on the lift and the headphone hole does a good job of not letting line slip back and forth. The wrist gaiters are great for someone who falls a decent amount (like myself).

**** UPDATE - Wore this jacket all season and have been extremely happy with it. Made it out for about 30 days and haven't had any issues. To address other reviews I rarely wore any more than a dryfit underneath and was never cold. The hood is big enough to fit over my Giro Revolver helmet. Can't recommend this jacket highly enough.

Does this jacket have insulation or is it...

Does this jacket have insulation or is it just a shell? I've read that it's just a shell from some sources, other say it packs 80g Thinsulate. Which is it?
