The Oakley A Wire sunglasses' phenomenal strength-to-weight ratio comes from 5 different metals combined, superheated, and cooled into a unique compound that makes up the frame. Available in a featherweight skeleton frame or a more substantial scaffold, the A Wire Oakley sunglasses include newly enhanced ear pieces, nose bridges, and hinge mechanisms.

Bottom Line: Wired for success.

good glasses

These seem to set high on my nose and had a less wide nose piece that I like. Has that Oakley quality that I love just didn't fig right?

Worthwhile Purchase

I stand by my Oakleys. I've had them for years, and by this point they're worth their weight in gold to me.

second pair!

By:
April 7, 2004

The only reason I had to get a new pair was that I lost my first pair of A-frames while climbing a waterfall.
They are without a doubt the most comfortable and best wearing pair of glasses I own..........

Fantastic glasses but don't pick gold lenses

By:

The A Wires themselves look sweet and perform great, particularly for narrow faces that can't wear other wires, although the pre-2.0 edition has a tight fit.

However, the Gold Iridium lenses used to more closely resemble the metallic 24K Iridium lenses, whereas more recently produced instances are closer to translucent brown. So if you want a metallic gold tint, you are out of luck with this model unless you can find a vintage pair in good condition.

Best you can get

I bought my first pair of Oakley’s 14 years ago and wouldn't even consider anything else. Superior optics, superior comfort and great style. These are perhaps the best pair yet.

Stylish and Comfortable

The Oakley A wire is an excellent sunglass to wear while driving or hanging at the local watering hole. The A wires are comfortable and very durable.
