The NRS Paddle Float helps you stabilize your kayak to aid re-entry after a flip in open water. Put the Paddle Float over your paddle and rig the other end to your boat. Now inflate this NRS bag to create an outrigger and hold your boat upright to help you get back in the cockpit. Hey, your other option is swimming to shore. Which would you rather do?

Faulty valves, but otherwise superb

Worked great for the first three trips, but a year later BOTH valves broke off. I discovered this in the spring as I dug out my gear and found the nozzles lying next to the bag. No good. A thoughtful design (if it functioned) though: the drawstring is excellent for very quick attachment to the paddle. Testing it out a few times in mild conditions, I have been able to enter the boat in under a minute flat. That's great for super cold water.

Good Paddle float, best feature is the dual chamber. Imagine if your paddle float died in the water and you didn't have a back up. This float is also designed to be used a as flotation aid and has reflective tapes on it. Most worthy feature is the dual closure straps for securing it to your paddle when your deploying it. These feature have worked well for me and this is an up grade over the old single chamber style...
