Description

Stashes in your trunk and charges the river.

Float the Colorado with the NRS Outlaw Inflatable Kayak and let the rest of the crew paddle a full-blown raft through tricky rapids. Nimble and fast, the Outlaw punches through waves and ducks in and out of tricky sections of water without requiring a two-man crew. The rigid floor and wide hull lend this boat stability, while the aggressive bow rocker allows you to ride over obstacles and rough water with ease. NRS' designers made the side tubes a little larger than on a traditional boat, which allows you to load down the Outlaw with enough gear for a day or two on the water. All the right finishing details are there, including Leafield C-7 valves for quick inflation and deflation and heavy-gauge PVC polyester that fends off the hard hits of the river or abrasion from burly takeouts. This is a kayak that a beginner can paddle with confidence and an experienced paddler can push hard.

  • PVC-coated polyester hull material gives this boat long-term durability in the face of abrasion and impact
  • Tubes are inflated via a pair of Leafield C7 valves that easily interface with a pump and offer top-shelf security against leaks
  • Floor insert is PVC coated and drop-stitched so it inflates rock hard to help you punch through waves and chop
  • Floor insert is removable for easy cleaning and repair
  • Inflatable thwart seat secures to drain holes in the floor so you can place the seat right where you need it
  • Secure drybags and water bottles via a pair of stainless steel D-rings on the deck
  • Bow and stern handles allow for easy carrying and double as tie-down point for gear

Great First Kayak

  • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

I used this for my first "ducky" experience on the Arkansas. I had no idea what I was doing yet I still was safe and survived. I fell out once and this thing was a breeze to get back into. Easy to maneuver and very durable I was impressed.

how much weight can it handle?

how much weight can it handle?

Responded on

Hello Rocp, thanks for the question!
I gave NRS a call and they let me know that they don't provide weight limits for their boats. This boat is meant to handle 2 adults plus approximately 2 Dry Bags at about 50 lbs each. You don't want to overload the boat because it will plane low in the water, rapidly decreasing the maximum speed of the craft.

I wish I had a better idea for you, but NRS doesn't provide those specifications for their inflatables.
