    Basic

    • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

Nothing too special about these things. I've always used the NRS oar sleeves and they work great. Simple, easy and not overly expensive. Also very easy to attach oar rites to if your into that kind of thing.

    Good choice for oar rights

    • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

If you use oar rights, this sleeve will work for you. They're inexpensive and do the job. However if you like rowing feathered, plastic sleeves are not that great. They are a bit too slippery. I prefer a rope wrap on a feathered oar, but if you're running oar rights, go with these!

Does exactly what its supposed to.

    • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

Used these commercially for a few years on the Colorado. They are perfect with oar rites and if you prefer feathering make sure your oar locks are the right size as these will pop straight up out of the locks without rites. With rites they last forever and without them the collar where the screws tighten them can get pieces broken off- leaving them still useable but less cosmetically appealing.

I purchased these oar sleeves with new cataract oars and they are not close to fitting. They are so tight I lubed them with windex and tapped them on with a hammer. One got so stuck I broke it and had to chisel it off my new oar! They say they fit cataract oars, what's the deal?
