Take advantage of the NRS Women's Hydrosilk Long-Sleeve Rash Guard Top's insulation and wicking, quick-drying fabric next time you hit the water on a raft or kayak trip. An SPF 50 UV protection factor in the fabric blocks harmful rays, and the midweight insulation of the Hydrosilk Rash Guard helps keep you warm even in the water. Wear this NRS rash guard alone on windy summer days, and pull it on under your splash jacket when the weather cools.

Bottom Line: The NRS Hydrosilk Rash Guard Shirt feels soft and comfortable on long kayak tours.

Looks good, fits well!

I bought this for a kayaking trip to Ecuador, where I knew I could be boating in 70ish water. It was perfect and fit my frame well. I was worried because I am not usually a traditional size as I have pretty big muscular shoulders on a short frame (only 5'3"). The sleeves fit me perfectly so I could see where someone slim with longer arms would have a problem.

When I came back to Northern California, I wear this under my wetsuit. I put it on wet this weekend on an upper 50s day and was able to keep my wetsuit rolled down and still stayed warm while I got ready to get in the water. Under my 4mm wetsuit it was the perfect extra layer for the 40 degree water!

The color is really nice too!

Honestly, I've never found that hydrosilk provides much insulation in the water. It's great to keep the sun off, or if you're getting splashed on a raft, but as far as spending hours in the water, I don't know if this would be the best. The hydroskin is a much better insulator, but it might be too much if you're playing around in 70 degree water. But if you always get cold in the water, I'd give the short sleeve version a shot.

good quality but not quite right

I ordered this top for wearing while swimming, snorkeling, rafting to keep the sun off my skin. The material was nice although not as soft as some others I have tried. The pink color was very nice, the top fit very snug as it should but the sleeves were way too tight and too short. I had to return it and found another brand that worked better for me.
